It's possibly best to post your question to http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Picture-problems/topic/10810/

as I did.

I posted an example of an image as I had been posting here and Jay was able to figure out what the issue was.

In my case it was using a style option, as Jay advised when I switched that off and my images slotted back into place.

Perhaps you are having a different problem so posting there would be a good way of getting the attention of Jay (who has been clearly busy).

Lord V it's possibly a side effect of the forum upgrade,

"At least you're still in one piece! Look what happened to me!" (a few pages back)

Stop posting images with style="float: left;" in the tags. That's why they're all piling on top of each other. I'm going to put a filter in the editor so that crap won't make it through any more.

Now quit messing up my forum.

Jay, you are clearly working hard at trying to improve the forum and perhaps this is overheating your protocol circuits.

If you had sent me a private message requesting me not to dress to the left (something I have done since starting on here) I would not have replied in a public way.

It's not my intension or that of any member on here to "mess up your forum".

In fact without being asked I have been going through my images and when I see one unnecessarily oversized I have reduced it to help improve the flow of the forum.

Most of us were assuming that any aesthetically wonky images would pop into place once the upgrades were complete.

I reported the situation in the proper place and we have all been responding to any hiccups in a jolly and jestful way.

Posting on here has become a very important and enjoyable part of my day and hopefully will continue to be as such.

I have removed styles and fixed every image posted by myself that I can find that isn't on kilter, if anyone spots any I have missed please let me now and I will adjust them.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

It might be fun if as many originaltrilogy.com members as possible did a group commentary.

People could submit commentary snippets and the sound could be edited together.

It would be like we were all in the room together, it would be easier for Ady to reply to comments made by other people than to just chat all the way through.

If it worked it could become a feature on a lot of the edits featured here.

The only way I can think of deflecting attention away from Anakin as Vader is to merge Grievous and Maul together and redub them so he becomes an ongoing nemesis for Obi-Wan in the same way that Vader is for Luke in the OT.

Maul is a man of very little words in the official versions and Grievous is a man of many words which sound rather silly.

If new dialogue was written which made one character out of both and made him obsessed with Obi-Wan (the only knight to best him) you could paint a picture of a defacto pupil (someone who studies him from a distance) but even that doesn't get over the "BEFORE he turned to evil" part of the equation.

It would be fun to replace Fett on Geonosis with Maul Grievous, it would make more sense in terms of story but it's hard to believe he wouldn't leap in and fight Obi-Wan again (it would be too much work to get Maul/Grievous to take over the saber fighting from Dooku).

It did seem strange that Maul dispatched a Jedi Master with some ease but came a croper to a Padawan.

If he survived that could turn into an obsessional study of the techniques of the one who beat him.

Maul survives

I think our minds have flipped into ROTJ mode (possibly by doubleofive's lovely list).

It's easy to understand with ESB:R slowly creeping around the corner that people will focus on a thread that might help Ady next time (though this thread and the Wishlist thread aren't exclusively Ady threads).

When Ady starts his ROTJ:R thread I foresee this thread splitting into episode specific threads and hopefully doubleofive, or someone with a similar degree of patience, will plow through this thread and re-energise the debate (something similar happened to the Starkiller thread which covered ROTJ and the PT).

But keep on posting folks....

Two videos in one day!

Here's my continued work on ROTJ: Fan-O-Matic:

Blame the droid.

I love it, perhaps it would be better if we didn't see wicket until a bit letter so it looks as if Leia is being threatened by some strange hairy thing with a spear for a few seconds.

When we cut back we could see he is a lovely little cub and then head on a stick (we have to do head on a stick).

Since adding another image my post a bit further up the page looks even more of a shambles (yay).

On my screen it looks sort of gun shaped with the images diagonally tilting down the post and all the text clumped up to one side.

I will have to fiddle with it once normal service resumes.

You can still open the images to see what's there (just opened it in Safari and I can see what you mean).

Poor Jay must be scratching his head today.

You possibly can't see this because of the current upgrade hiccups :

Wookiee Rebels

I tried to address the problem of the floating map screens in an early rough mash-up redux of the set:

Black Hole Briefing room

But they could just retract up to the ceiling when they aren't in use.

I was trying to evoke elements from the production designs:

Design Mash-Up

It would be nice to see them lower down when the room is being used as a battle room when the attack on the Death Star is underway.

Does anyone know if the Bruce Boa footage from Screamers is usable to put a familiar Rebel General into this scene? He looks like the same guy (only wearing glasses...do they have glasses in a galaxy far.far away?) :

Star Specs

We all have our pet peeves (mine is the use of the word song to describe any piece of music....grrrr!) but there are a lot of people on here with English as a second, third or fourth language so I try to let it be.

Pedantry is a nerdish virus and we are all nerds, was it not Victor Hugo who once said, "Strong and bitter nerds indicate a weak cause"?
