Harmy's Despecialized Star Wars 1977 - Color Adjustment Project for v2.7 (released)
Time

Bluto’s comprehensive and quality ’Guide to Downloading Projects from Usenet’ thread, in the How-To’s and Technical Discussions section of the site, may also be of interest for those members looking to acquire Harmy’s Despecialized Editions - or TN1’s 4K OT Preservation Projects.

solkap’s ’NJVC Custom Blu-ray Set of Harmy’s Despecialized Editions now available on Mega’ thread - with helpful and concise step-by-step guide - is a great option on how to acquire this particular Set.

I thought the above is also worth mentioning in here to help people find another method of obtaining projects on here.

Those are truly superb guides Bluto and solkap! Well done and thank you both 😃

Kodi / Plex / Media Center Posters?
Time

The Disney+ posters may look good on the screen? Yet it seems there are significantly better art and posters in this thread alone, and from official art for the releases from years ago.

The color for Star Wars (A New Hope) looks weird too in comparison with the others. Boba Fett was in Empire Strikes Back quite a bit going on that poster too!

I’m a little surprised nobody on here has made covers in a matching style of the above posters for the Holiday Special, Rebels, the two Clone Wars series, the theatrical Clone Wars, both the Droids and the Ewoks animated 1980’s series, and the two Ewok movies. Anything I missed?

‘Report: Apple Won’t Let Siri Say Feminism’:

https://gizmodo.com/report-apple-wont-let-siri-say-feminism-1837927620

These IOT devices and the main social media outlets create more trouble than they are worth. They are reluctant to act on the issues they cause, deflect (literally) away criticism and even questions, and yet are content to profit from them.

Taking a stand against toxic fandom (and other )
Time

^ that is a loverly article and warms the heart.

I posted this video in the TLJ thread last week or so - in hindsight I should have posted it here as it is probably more suited?

This guy has done a pretty comprehensive video on some of the more negative, maybe even toxic elements, of click bait fandom, especially about The Last Jedi:

video by Maj0r Lee

I am sure not everyone will agree with it (and I don’t fully), but it is worth posting here for those that wish to see an alternative take, on some of the more unjust or outlandish criticism of modern Star Wars, and also how some within also twist and contort what is, or has, actually being said by people working on Star Wars or at Lucas film, to try and prove or further their view or agenda.

There doesn’t seem to be many of these videos about - addressing or highlighting the toxicity and contant over the top repeated criticism for around two years now (more if we include the TFA era toxic criticsms). If anyone does know of more videos please PM me with the links to them.

Episode IX : The Rise Of Skywalker - film & fan art, + covers etc

The official teaser poster for Episode IX:

and some cool fan variations on it are already out as well:

‘When I woke up and saw the poster I wasn’t a huge fan of the way Palpy looked so I made him look a bit more “toned down”, recoloured the lightning so it was more red on one half and decided to add a border.’

Discussion: A thread for the many various Star Wars memorabilia auctions... (No eBay)

‘STAR WARS’ ORIGINAL DARTH VADER HELMET EXPECTS TO FETCH $450K AT AUCTION’:

https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/star-wars-original-darth-vader-helmet-expects-to-fetch-450k-at-auction

‘Profiles in History recently announced its upcoming Icons and Legends of Hollywood auction which will feature the screen-used helmet and mask of none other than Darth Vader. The prop, from the mighty Sith’s The Empire Strikes Back appearance, was worn by the character’s physical actor David Prowse during the film’s most iconic moments — including the scene where Vader reveals to Luke that “No, I am your father.” You’ll have to perform your own James Earl Jones impression.’

&

‘An original Vader helmet is, according to Profiles in History, “exceedingly rare and considered the Holy Grail of science fiction artifacts,” and expects to bring in somewhere between $250,000 and $450,000, which would bring it up to the rankings of Han Solo’s classic firearm, which sold for $550,000 last June. But c’mon, Return of The Jedi’s blaster versus the helmet Vader wore during the most famous twist in genre? Sounds like this could be a deal waiting to happen for the right rich collector.’

Some other cool looking props from other films in the article as well, including a beat up DeLorean from Back to the Future III
