New pic time.

There's still a lot more to do with this shot yet but here's how it's coming along (right click>view image to see it a little larger)

Absolute perfection with this Ady!

I always wished you could see more happening with the transports preparing to leave.  It reminds me of a level in Rogue Squadron 2, where TIE Bombers are attacking the transports still on the ground. Also great to see the rear hangar exit of Echo Base.

Cannot wait to see this scene in action!!!

The Rebel Transports having to fly close to a Star Destroyer in order to escape, I think mainly has to do with the hyperspace lanes. Even in TPM, the Trade Federation didn't have enough ships to cover the entire planet. I'm sure in ESB and TPM, blockading ships were focused near safe hyperspace travel lanes. Granted I know I'm throwing in some EU here, but I feel that's a logical reason as to why the escaping ships fly so close (if you aren't satisfied with it just being a chance in the movie to have a cool action scene). Also I'm sure when an star destroyer detected a transport within its sector, they would try to reposition for an intercept.

The Rebel Transports could have just picked any direction were an star destroyer wasn't positioned, but then they risk the chance of being pursued by fighters or something else, as they make their way to a safe vector to jump to lightspeed.

Heading straight for a safe/known hyperspace route seemed the fastest way to escape, and they have the ion cannon there for this very purpose, to clear a path.

OK this is the last I'll do of this topic (you are all probably fed up with this) & as Angel has hinted at, perhaps Adywan has already addressed this scene (dunno??!!)

Wow, that is an amazing idea for the Vader transmission.

I mean it's obviously not a hologram, but still that could really work. Love it!

...I'd say it's very much up to Ady to show or not show whatever but I don't think he would mind help from the rest of us to let folks know that they should have patience and in certain cases chill the fierfek out. =D

Always a great joy to see some Mando cursing, Rogue Leader!

I fully agree that Ady has shown us plenty of material and previews on Empire Revisited. We shouldn't keep begging him for more.

It would be like a movie coming out today, and it kept releasing more and more new trailers and commercials, and in each one there were shots and plot from different segments of the movie. A movie kinda losses its buzz for me, after seeing almost all of it in previews (granted we all know what Empire about.)

I can't wait to watch the entire film and be blown away by the myriad of other changes Ady has made.

Hey Adywan, maybe this was already discussed...But I realized that in the asteroid field, when the TIEs are chasing the Falcon that:

---In the original movie the TIEs don't fire in the asteroids.

---In Adywan's old comparison video he shows the RE version have the TIEs firing.

---Now in the most recent RE asteroid field video, they aren't firing again.

Is there a reason for that? Like it's dangerous enough already in the asteroids, wouldn't shooting make it worse? Is that why you changed it back?

The Hoth mock up is great, but it's not perfect.

What is perfect is the concept, I think it would be much better to show more of the evacuation as this mock up does.

In Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 you actually see something very similar to this.

In the Complete Locations book they describe an outside transport evacuation zone.
