Hello. Yes, I prodded GreenCapt into editing B&R. I always thought it was "possible". Not everything in the movie sucked. Yes, it was a day-glow bat flick, but alot of people put alot of art/costume/special effect, etc. work into it that wasn't bad. The flaws were a bad director, horrendous script, and too many damn characters. We sat down one night watching the flick and took notes, about two or three pages- single spaced/hand written, of things we would change. I've got to give credit to him. He's tackled this project with more gusto than I expected. Especially since he hated B&R soooo much. I remember when I saw him come out of the movie theater when he first saw it. He basically looked like some one punched him in the nuts and lobotomized him. I was much more blinded and forgiving at the time since it's safe to say I'm probably a bigger Bat-fan than him, and Mr.Freeze has always been one of my favorite villians, etc. I still think Ahnuld could have been a descent Freeze if he had a director who gave a shit. Anyway, I can't wait to see the edit. This was a true challenge. Star Wars edits methinks pales in comparison to trying to actually improve B&R. Bravo, GreenCapt.

I haven't watched a SW movie since midnight ROTS
Time
I was there with Greencapt opening night for both AOTC and ROTS. I actually think I liked AOTC better than ROTS. I just can't put my finger on it. After ROTS, I really had no desire to go out and see it again. Very unlike a Star Wars fan. I had been building up all this hope for the epic duel between Anakin and Ben, but it just felt a little flat. I know it was a "fancy" saber fight, etc., but I thought the fights in Empire, Jedi, and the Maul fight were better. More "weight" to them I guess. Lucas screwed himself by letting TPM be almost completely an introduction film that really didn't advance the story that much, and left ROTS to tie up a bunch of loose ends really quickly. Bad planning in my opinion.

I visit the "Batman-on-film" site quite a bit. It's an excellent site for Batman related movie information. They've already reported on potential actors for the Joker and made some good points about the Joker character. I hope in the next movie they make the Joker truly twisted, evil, with a little bit of scary thrown in. The Joker isn't really "funny". Yes, he may make some amusing comments/quips, but when he really turns it on, it's psychotic. Jacks' Joker in 1989 was ok, but to me he never seemed to capture the Joker from the comics. He was just playing his regular "crazy Jack" role. Also, if you think about it , he was probably indirectly responsible for the rest of the Batman flicks villians being "over the top" and not true to the comic character. Devitos' Penguin...come on. Jones' Two Face...too Jack like. Ahnulds' Freeze...who knows what the hell happened there. I always thought if he would have played it like the Terminator, cold and straight, ihe would have done a nice job with Freeze. All of them were trying to be like Jack in a way.

Sci-Fi rip-offs

Hello. Just here to introduce myself. I'm a friend of Greencapt and he's been trying to get me to join this website for some time. He raves about the site and figured I'd be interested as well since we often have discussions very similar to the ones here. Anyway, hope to get more familiar with this site and perhaps I'll have something interesting to say..from time to time.
