Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

I’ve seen some slight tension on here over people’s inquiry about how to download the DEED files. Side A thinks that Side B is exclusionary because Side A can’t find the downloads while Side B thinks that people in Side A aren’t quite as computer literate as they could be. I believe some of the problem and confusion that people may be having over how to acquire the downloads stems from the fact that the link to the Ulozto site in the Ultimate Introductory Guide (Section 3) is broken. The URL should contain an https:// tag instead of the current http one. When people click the provided link in the Guide like they are instructed to it fails to connect to the site due to the missing ‘s’ in the URL.

I agree that using the Ultimate Introductory Guide mentioned is the best way to approach finding the downloads but if you’re going to point people to the Guide, please make sure that all of the links and material mentioned is up to date. I think this will alleviate much of the confusion from newbies coming on here trying to find the downloads and will save unsuspecting folks from feeling excluded.

So, if you are having trouble locating the downloads, go to the Ultimate Introductory Guide page (https://goo.gl/1WGHBA) first and follow the beautifully detailed instructions. When you get to Sec 3 for the Manual Download, copy the URL link provided to the Ulozto site, paste it into a new browser tab and add an ‘s’ to the http: portion of the URL (so that it looks like ‘https’) and you should be good to go.

As always, kudos to everyone involved with these incredible, masterful editions of the finest films found in this, or any other, galaxy, as well as this forum and its resources.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Finally got my chance to view one of these legendary fan edits.  For the first time in quite a few years, I didn't feel somehow cheapened, guilty, shamed or just plain bothered by watching the Original Trilogy on DVD.  Harmy, allow me to add my voice to the chorus of admirers who have proclaimed your Fan Edits as "Must See!"

I just turned 40 years old last summer and for over 30+ of those, Star Wars had always been around somewhere.  However, the past dozen years or more have been quite demoralizing for the old guard of Star Wars fans, with the stunningly unsatisfying Special Editions becoming the "only true versions" of the OT, as well as the total rollercoaster ride of emotion following the announcement of and subsequent release of the prequels.  I have to say, it's been a pretty sad state of affairs these past trying years trying to maintain my enthusiasm and support as a Star Wars fan.

Watching your Star Wars DeSpecialized version has changed all of that.  You made me remember WHY these movies made such an impact on me and my generation.  These movies mean something to so many people.  This s**t is in my DNA.  Seeing someone take their precious time out of their life to painstakingly, lovingly restore the Original Trilogy to its pristine, previous glory for future preservation leaves me speechless, without the words to adequately articulate my gratitude.  You, Harmy, have embarked upon a Hero's Journey.

You are a star.  We are not worthy.

For all of us fortysomething Force lovers, THANK YOU!
