Harmy's THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK Despecialized Edition HD - V2.0 - MKV & AVCHD (Released)
Time

Since I'm more like a "manga version" DB fan, when I say DB I think about the DB and the Z as well, sorry for the inaccuracy. For me it's one continuous storyline. The Z brand was just a "marketing trick" for the new series, they didn't even have a break between the the 2 series' broadcasting (or making) in Japan.

I don't know much about the american releases, I have seen a few of them and all they did is that they resized and cropped the videos to HD dimensions + did some awful contrast/lighting/colour correction + censored some scenes. The best release so far is the Japanese Dragon Box in 4:3 standard dimensions with a really really bad audio quality.

I remembered wrongly about the 16mm prints. They have them, it's just in a bad condition. That's why they should re-record the whole thing with the original celluloid and background images. But that's not possible since those are already fan properties. Even u could buy them on the Ebay.

The audio was the one that lost, sorry for the confusion. They were recorded on separated rolls but later on they mixed those with the video on another tape and threw the original away (they said it took too much space...). It resulted in a really low volume and bad audio quality. There are rumors that some non-Japanese TV studios still have a copy of the original audio rolls (they got it for the translation/dubbing process).

Huh, I haven't heard of Dragon Ball getting mangled in editing, just really bad mastering...

Offtopic: The Kai was recutted and they redrawn certain scenes. The newly drawn scenes' look like they have been made by a left handed drunk 10 yrs old (in Paint). The original celluloids and film rolls are lost so they are not able to record the whole thing again, with the current technology. The only way to make a good remastered version would be even more tough job than in the Star Wars' case... To find the original celluloid and background paintings' owners, use home recorded VHS', talk to the non-Japanese TV broadcasters if they still had their copies and stuff like that... I don't think it will ever happens :/

The mentioned episodes are on piratebay, but someone removed all the dub tracks, except the English.

ESB 2.0 is on Thepiratebay in full verison and plenty of seeders, just search for "empire harmy". ROTJ 1.0 only has Czech and German dubs, so you shouldn't even bother.

I can understand Myspleen begging to get certain projects not available on public trackers, but Harmy's work is right there. No need for invites.

Thx for the ESB. My bad, I was searching with "despecialized edition" keywords.
So there are no other languages available for the last episode? Why is that? It will be included in the 2.0 only?

Still I need the Despecialized ROTJ even if it has no Hungarian dub. Maybe I'm the retarded but I can't see that one on Piratebay only in 6-7 GB version. Is that the one? I mean the extra dub tracks can't be more than 10 GB or can they? I think that has been reencoded...

Hello

I'm from Europe/Hungary so excuse my grammar mistakes please, I'm not a native speaker.

First of all I want to say thank you to Harmy and everyone who worked on this remastered version. I really hated all those CGI versions. It was really nice to watch the original masterpiece in a better quality.

Though I couldn't download the fifth and sixth episode, so I have to beg for an invitation as well :/

The mentioned episodes are on piratebay, but someone removed all the dub tracks, except the English. I like the English version too but u guys could understand me, when I was a kid I saw the original trilogy on my native language.. So for me that's the one which brings my childhood memories back.

Also, I don't know if are there any Dragon Ball fans here (SW and DB have a lot in common, the author was a huge SW fan). It would be really cool to make a fan-restored version of that too since the publishers nowadays do the same unforgivable things to the DB as Lucas do to the SW...

Anyways, sorry for the long post, I just wanted to make you guys feel some sympathy for a foreigner SW fan :P Please send me an invitation here -> alestat[dot]flowolf[at]gmail[dot]com

Thx and keep up the quality work

Edited: Problem solved, thx all.
