It will sadly / probably never happen . . period. . .which is why we should all take it upon ourselves to re-create the trilogy on our own using the preexisting physical media, similar to what Harmy did at the very least. You’d be amazed how through cut / paste methods of the many different available sources, you could re-create shot for shot. . .these original 3 movies. . .and make them look exactly how you want them to be.

All you need is little ambition and creative “know how” 😉

Being that I have recently finished my own “Fan Restoration” of the Original Un-altered Trilogy (for myself mind you, using physical media I own) I Figured I would take to the blogs to see if anyone else taken it upon themselves to re-crate the trilogy on their own? If so what methods did you undertake?

Anyone using the methods employed by Team negative 1 or Harmy?

Taking to the blogs today get feedback/ideas from everyone on a personal project I am working on called the “AM Re-specialized Edition” The idea for this being to use “Harmy’s Despecialized Edition” which near-accurately re-creates the original unaltered trilogy to its fullest, as a starting point, and to then only plug-in the updated special effects shots from the “Special (Definitive) Editions” when and where necessary for all 3 films… as on a personal level. . .this would create a version of the “Special Edition” that I feel “should have been” from 1997 onward. . . with no “added shots” inserted.

(Please note I am producing this project using DVD and Blu Ray Copies of the films that I own)
I welcome any and all feedback.
