Petition for the Theatrical Cuts of the Original Star Wars Trilogy on Blu-ray
Time

I was also thinking about our agreement, about the OOT going onto the Blu-Ray format.

And if this Blu-Ray format DOES work out I want to transmit my OOT to the format THIS YEAR.

George Lucas: I'm sorry you fell in love with a half-completed film.

Yeah... that's what you said when the Special Editions came out. Looks like the OOT is going nowhere. I have to finish restoring the OOT.

How to make certain movie series' perfect...
Time

Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade are two stand-alone films, but with the same main character.

Just like The Godfather and The Godfather Part II are two stand-alone films with two entirely different purposes.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom has its moments at the beginning and the ending, but the midsection bogs the whole thing down.

Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi make up the Star Wars films. Nothing else after 1983.

How to make certain movie series' perfect...
Time

THE GODFATHER

*The Godfather Part III NEVER HAPPENED.

STAR WARS

*The Star Wars Prequels NEVER HAPPENED.

*The Star Wars Special Editions NEVER HAPPENED.

INDIANA JONES

*Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom NEVER HAPPENED.

*Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull NEVER HAPPENED.

ALIEN

*Alien 3 NEVER HAPPENED.

*Alien: Resurrection NEVER HAPPENED.

LETHAL WEAPON

*Lethal Weapon 3 NEVER HAPPENED.

*Lethal Weapon 4 NEVER HAPPENED.

SUPERMAN

*Superman 3 NEVER HAPPENED.

*Superman 4 NEVER HAPPENED.

------

The following films never had any sequels:

*BACK TO THE FUTURE
*JURASSIC PARK
*JAWS
*ROCKY
*BEVERLY HILLS COP

There. Apply that to the movie world and all of these film series are much better off, in my opinion.

Goodbye Prequels FOREVER
Time

Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas both suffer from the same problem.

THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO QUIT WHILE THEY ARE AHEAD!

They create a series of masterpieces... but they have to go back to that same series and modify them, and add to them, for the worse.

The Godfather and The Godfather Part II are two halves of one fully-functional organism.

The Godfather Part III was like diagnosing that organism with HIV or cancer.

Many are on-the-fence concerning Return of the Jedi. But it should have stopped there. No more.

Goodbye Prequels FOREVER
Time

I see these movies series as...

The Godfather, The Godfather Part II

Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi

Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Alien, Aliens.

Then you have Back to the Future, Jaws, Rocky, Jurassic Park, and Predator which all have completely unnecessary sequels.
