I just thought I'd mention, on the DVD inserts it says , "The Original Theatrical Versions - On DVD for the first time ever!" No where on here does it say the last time ever.

I remember reading somewhere that that audio line on the original film was too far gone to be restored. I actually believe the,, because I can think of no reason why they would take that line out.

well that would explain it. He was probably looking at Padme' in that shot which is why he looks like he wants to hump something, except that doesn't really work for the ghost scene at the end of ROTJ now does it?

wow some of you I think need to take chill pills. The changes there for ROTJ are not that bad, I just really hate the spirit change at the end with Hayden. He looks like a child molester or something with that look on his face! If I was hayden, I would have refused to do that shot!

I have never seen that before but I never really paid attention either. I knew they went back and made R2 blue in many scenes. I thought they had for ANH too. At least on the website it shows some comparison shots and he was changed to blue.

yeah i just did change my mind pretty fast. This here is my latest opinoin on the matter, although since I am such a Star Wars nut it will be hard not to buy these when i see them in the store, but I think I will be able to resist. Also regardless and irregardless are words. Unless my grammer book in hs was lying to me.

I have been thinking a lot lately. I have the set all pre-orded on amazon.com and all but am thinking about canceling. Why? Because if the OOT is just released again in the 30th ann. set next year I will be very mad, and I will be getting that set irregardless because I know they are going to be fixing up some other things as well. So what I am going to do, and what I suggest others do, is to hold off on this release, (unless you know you would never get the 30th ann. set) and next year when the 30th ann. set comes out, and if it has the OOT as part of it, in any capacity, then you've saved money. If it doesn't happen to have it, you will still be able to buy it as used off of amazon or ebay. Used things on amazon are normally very cheap, and not even always used.

I think everyone should buy this set because either:

it will never be out again
or
the more people buy it I think the better chance it will get at recieiving a just transfer.

Well it is obvious that Lucas will release something next year. It's the 30th Ann. for gosh sakes! And if you saw the bonus features on the ROTS DVD, you probably noticed them working on a digital Yoda for EP1, to match up with the rest of the PT. I am sure that will be a part of the box set next year. I am hoping further fixes to the OT will be finished, such as making every single lightsaber in every single shot look good. But if the OT is being released in that set, and it is anamorphic or something I will be very mad, because I am buying them this year!

Hi. This is my first post here. I have been a fan of Star Wars since 97 when the SE was released, but I bought the OOT on VHS in between the SE theater release of ESB and ROTJ. So I have seen and love the OOT. I like the PT to an extent but in hindsight I only like to watch 3 and on. I however do not like how they killed Padme'. I always thought they should have put one of her look-a-like handmaidens in the coffen. That is what I would have done, so Padme' could've gone off with Leia. I think the PT Trilogy should've started with the EP3 plot. Although I love Qui-Gon and Darth Maul from ep1. I also like the last 40 minutes of the Clone Wars battle from ep2. I think everything else I would have re-written. I did not mind the CGI as much as others did, and I don't think anyone would have really, if they storyline had been written better. I wish I could've written the PT, because it would've been an awesome story!
