Alien has deleted scenes restored featured on the Quad boxset so thats not an issue, extra scenes also featured on the Alien Legacy set. I can use these with some behind the scenes photos and footage if needed etc. Some sequences there were filmed but never used or seen on any special features don't have any photos or screen shots i'll just have to mention them via text or something, some are storyboarded others aren't.
As for commentary segments i have a few audio parts mainly from Ridley Scott and Sigourney Weaver...i want to try and use audio sources other than the Quadrilogy so might look into the Alien Saga & Legacy documentaries.
If anyone has any sugestions or ideas i'm all ears! I'll defo need some help with this. Still gathering footage at the moment.
If i find some time this weekend i will make an small inventory of thing i think are intresting for your project.

Just a suggestion: maybe you can do multiangle feature with first angle being a movie with bunch of picture in picture pop-ups and text info (you can recompose picture and use empty space in widescreen for text info), and second angle with storyboards, sketches, script pages, photos... plus audio commentaries that are compiled from various sources.

...i've just extracted the original production & original proposed filmed score audio tracks from the Alien Legacy DVD. Thought i might show some of the unused, extra & Alternate dialogue in places and a few original scores if possible. I'm attempting this with sony vegas also. The only thing i won't be using in this documentary is Terry Rawlings original editing script, what i mean is i want be inserting images of the pages etc as i haven't asked for permisson. He was kind enough to let Dennis Lowe scan it for us fans.
You could consider asking permission, you never know....

I had the same problems getting it complete, but with some extra downloads and a lot of effort i got it complete. Did you use another usenet provider also for the missing parts? Try www.hitnews.eu they offer free downloads for 3 days so then maybe you can make your download complete.

The above par set is different then the one included in the original posting, so what i remember is that i put it all in one directory and let quickpar do it's work (this took some hours but i worked out!)

Then when I was given the links to the new par files, I temporarily moved the original pars, and put the new ones into the same directory and ran those. Same result. I'm at a loss. I had the same problems like yours, i have downloaded the whole thing about 3 times! I don't know how i did it, but it had something to do with a new set op pars..... and a lot of processing time to get them repaired.
I cannot promise anything but i hope to find out what i did some months ago!

As it happens, I didn' t need to do so. The WD HD media player can play blu-ray ISOs. Isn't that amazing? Everything I read led me to believe that it couldn't play blu-ray ISOs, but the ISO played without any problems at all.
Now I can download all Wookie Groomer's releases and play them without ever having to burn them. I've already played ROTS, and the quality of the BD-25 is amazing! Thank you so much, Wookie Groomer. :-)

You can use download either one of them in the newsgroups.
If it's BR structure you can get the m2ts from the stream directory.
When it's an ISO, use Daemon or any other ISO mounter to get to the stream directory.
