How to capture HDCP-encrypted HDMI sources (Vudu, Netflix, Directv, Virgin Media, etc.)

You hadn't mentioned 1080p. The 360 only outputs at 60 fps in progressive mode, and the card can only handle up to 1080p30.

Ah but if you're only capturing movies say off Netflix from an XBox wouldn't a 30fps card be good enough? Because if you captured at the 60 passive it puts out you'd need to ditch every even or odd frame when it comes time to convert the capture back to its original frame rate. 30 or 24 or 25 fps.

Hey, drngr great post very detailed. I was just wondering if it's possible to get further confirmation before I buy this stuff.

If I get a ViewHD 2 Port 1x2 Powered HDMI Mini Splitter to remove protection and use it with a Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Recorder that will allow me to capture 6 channel uncompressed audio and uncompressed video right?

I'd like to try capturing game play footage and some movies off BluRay and Netflix from my Xbox360 :)
