you people are missing the point...it's not stopping people from buying because most would tell you to piss off...the point is making a big enough stink so that Lucas and Foxget enough bad press that they have to respond

there would be no need to cover large metros entirely...just a few determined fans at a few stores in a few major metros would create more than enough bad press for Lucas...something tells me he may not care...but if we could spin that bad press into loss of sales, then he would take notice

perhaps someone who runs this site should organize just such an effort...hell, an official organized effort may be enough to get in the press well before the expected release date

organize, set up a page on this site, get some folks to pledge that they will spend the release date at major resellers encouraging people to not buy this edition, then send out a press release to a few major news sources

i'd suggest getting the unions involved...the movie unions are a powerful force and would probably not be happy to see their award winning and groundbreaking efforts be dumped by an ego-maniac like lucas

they are as much (or more) a part of those films as Lucas...Ward says Lucas has a right as the artist to decide what will be released, but all the others who worked on that film are just as much artists as he is

it's a shame that Lucas seems to have lost his mind
