One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.

Why are you all in such a grave mood about this. I for one think this find to be really hilarious. I mean, she's alive and well today, isn't she? And everybody knows she was doing coke - like every other celebrity in the 70s and 80s.  So what's the big sad deal about it?

I'm always saddened about people using drugs.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

So I assume this is footage from what Lucas is replacing the Modal Nodes with for the next release?

Wow!

Given how murderously hot those Rubie's Chewie costumes are, it's death defying to dance around in one.

Where were you in '77?

As this is the time period we live in might as well also mention important Star Wars related youtube videos currently blocked.

Thanks Fox for blocking the Larry Cuba - Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) video of the pioneering work in creating the CGI Death Star sequence.

Larry Cuba personally wrote about the video in the first comment here:

Greetings all.

I have a few comments about this post:

The Video:
This “making of” video was originally
produced for my personal presentations as
I was often asked to explain the process
(back in the 70s and 80s when it was still
obscure).
Lucasfilm was vigilant in protecting its
copyrighted material but OK’d this video at
the time, since i had no intention of
distributing it.
(although copies apparently escaped)
I wonder what they would say, now that the EVL
in Chicago has resurrected it (after 30 years!)
and posted it on YouTube.

If you want it to live host/distribute it yourself.

They did that to me too, except I got an official warning that they'll close my account if they find any more copyright infringement, so I had to take the rest down myself :-/

That happened to me when I had THX logo videos on my channel. :(

The Star Wars ones are just being blocked....so if/when Fox takes a chill-pill, everything will be right with the world. :)

An astute redditor noticed something about Carrie's nail in ROTJ.

Holy shit that's a good find! Is that real?

Carrie responds.

Please tell me this isn't an official product...

Angry Birds + STAR WARS...

I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

You didn't spell it out, so I couldn't find it via search. Not everyone hangs here every single day, mind you.

Anibal Arocho : Just wait until they release the Angry Birds Star Wars LEGO sets featuring Darth Maul!

I just wanted to see if anybody would click on the twitter link. :)

I was hoping they would.

And they'd get a nasty surprise.

Nasty, nasty surprise.

Star Wars Angry Birds.... are we even surprised?
