If you could have a lightsaber, would you choose red, blue, or green? Jedi/Sith affiliation isn’t revelant.
You can subsitute purple or yellow if you prefer, but this was mainly intended for the key three colors.
I’ve always preferred red.
Red. It’s my #1 favourite colour, after all.
Red is the tactically superior choice, since it isn’t blinding in low-light situations.
However, my preference is the light blue of the original film. It’s just the best-looking of all the effects to me.

Yellow sabers makes me think of Yun from Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II.
I would go green even though red is my favorite colour. I guess because of the association with Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight who was my childhood hero.
I’d say blue. I always loved the design of Obi-Wan’s from The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.
It’s a shame the Sequels didn’t have really any colour variation apart from blue. Although Ben/Kylo’s Jedi lightsaber hilt was pretty cool.

I also like Luke’s Green Saber with the Obi-Wan hilt from ROTJ.
In Kotor II i liked Viridian, Silver and Orange colors with a double blade.
If i have to absolutely pick one its Luke’s Return of the Jedi. Which also happens to be the color of Yoda and Qui Gon saber’s coincidentally or Lucas was lazy.
I guess a follow up is also preferable style: classic, double-bladed, Dooku’s curved or Kylo’s crossed as examples.
I’d probably choose Vader’s as I’d be less likely to accidentally injure myself haha.
Green/red for color. For hilts, classic or Dooku’s if sticking to the movies, long-handle or pike if I can use EU. Not a fan of the other variants.
