what is the real blue color of the lightsabers cyan or dark blue?

All blue is basically some other form of blue.

It is white in the middle, which can basically mean it contains all colours.

As clear as an azure sky of deepest summer.

Neither. It’s azure (if you stick with the OT).

Nope, it’s air superiority blue.

However, Luke’s lightsaber in ROTJ is desert superiority green.

the only reason i ask is that in the prequels it’s dark blue but in the ot it’s light blue i’m confused about this.

It is my headcanon that all colors of saber exist, the ones not seen or mentioned are just unpopular.

Just ignore the prequels. If you won’t do that then, idk, maybe sabers get lighter as time passes because reasons.

the reason i asked was is anyone editing the prequel films lightsabers in there edits excluding adywan’s is anyone else?

They start out more vibrant but the crystals get old and the color desaturates.

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

The truth is probably that there is no ‘true’ color because the rotoscoping in the OT was not very good (especially ANH). Whatever color it is ‘supposed to be’ is probably whatever it was in the PT or TFA.

This is one of the things that has always bugged me about all the updates of the OT over the years. If you are going to go to all the effort of adding to/changing the films, erase the old rotoscoping and fix it proper!

What? That’s what bugged you? I for one would hate to see those beautiful sabres erased. They would definitely look out of place in TFA, but in a 1970s movie? BEAUTIFUL

I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

how should the lightsabers in all the films and canon eu look design and color wise then?

I’m not joking.

Air superiority blue is a nice shade of blue. Everyone I know agrees after I show it to them.

But then regenerate by TFA.

Maz replaced the crystal, which was damaged after the duel on Cloud City.
