Hello everyone!
As Hal is winding down his edit of TROS with the lovely Ascendent I have been thinking about adjustments I would make myself.
THE GOAL:
The goal of this edit would be to keep all of the improvements that HAL and company have made with TROS while also maintaining some of the smaller elements that were cut from his edit. This would essentially create a less drastic version of his edit.
CHANGE LIST:
Essentially, this edit would be identical to TROS:A with the following adjustments.
I currently do not have the ability to make any edits, yet hopefully, when the new year comes around I will have the means to actually complete this film the way I see it in my head.
After being beaten and battered by prequel hate, I promise not to be that to the next generation.
#5 was this really cut? I think it’s still in there. Also, was there really a TV spot with that alternate wording?
EDIT: Oh, I was getting mixed up. I was thinking of the line as Palpatine tosses Ben down the pit.
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

This is the TV Spot with the different wording for that line. (Yes I know you had it mixed up with the “As I fell line” but here is the alternate take anyways 😃)

Ah, and that tv spot appears to simply edit in “Skywalker” from the line I was thinking of. Should be able to do it yourself better than pulling in audio from the tv spot itself.
And for color correction. If you apply skenera’s Exegol LUT at 60% for those scenes and the general LUT at about 90% for the rest, it should be pretty close.

If you happen to restore #5 please do it with “story of Skywalker”. The theatrical line makes it look like Palpatine is more concerned about the rebels than the Jedi, and sounds even more out of place with the addition of the Force ghosts.
Alright, I finally got myself a computer that can edit and FCP. My next big hurdle into the world of fanediting (which I have never done) is how on Earth do I get a copy of TROS with all the audio channels and whatnot intact since my macbook doesn’t have a way to rip blu-rays. Does everyone else have a Blu-ray drive that they rip from, any recommendations?
