I wouldn’t say so, Both RogueLeader and Sherlock have been coming out with some great new edits. The more scratch build stuff is tricky due to Jonh making his own movie, Me buying a new house, Poppa becoming a Poppa, and others not having much free time now lockdown is opening.

What other active VFX artists do we have left? Has anyone heard from Snooker lately?

I think I found someone who can help us out with Luke’s new line, “Leia told me that she had sensed the birth of her son at the end of her Jedi path.”

Okay, this is actually huge. I know that there had been a lot of talk before about making new Kylo lines, but chopping them up yielded less-than-convincing results. If someone taps this person to make new Adam Driver lines, I will happily make a Kylo mask effect for them. Great find!

I think he means he’s just asked him so far.

Well done. I will disengage self-destruct initiative.

I feel pretty confident that we can get Kylo’s existing lines to work for a Rey Nobody version. Just have to sit down and actually put it together…

Have you reached out? I messaged them a few months back but didn’t get a reply.

I did reach out to him, haven’t gotten a follow up yet. I thought about him for Luke’s line, I did not think of the possibility of giving Ben new lines.

Daaaaang. New Ben lines, Luke lines, Leia lines…I have so many I wanted to try adding. This honestly would be a game changer.

I mean, I’ve been going through looking for good Poe substitutions regarding the dagger on the ship. To think you could just type out a script and be done with it.

Yeah I’d like to hear Ben say “Noones ever really gone” just after he dies like in the novel. That’s some impressive stuff.

This would improve the ending by so much. Hal, should your reach out to the guy? Or should some of us try to get a hold of him?

Lawdog said that he had, so I guess we’ll see if we do get a bite.

I’ll say that’s one of the more-impressive AI voices I’ve ever heard, but I’m wondering if it’ll get the inflection necessary for a line like that.

Still haven’t gotten a response yet, so I don’t know if we may get something, or someone could try this AI out themselves. I’m not capable of using software like this. Didn’t you say Burbin did the DeepFakes of Tarkin and Leia for your edit of Rogue One, Hal?

Maybe I’m just a killjoy, but the Kylo one doesn’t sound any better to my ear than someone doing a barely passable Adam Driver impression. To the point where I actually thought it was whoever had made the video introducing it first, until I realised it sounded “off” in the way that AI voices can’t quite get the inflections of sentences right.

From what I remember, it’s they’re own software development that isn’t available. I’ve tried other software’s but they’re not very good.

Do you contact their email or social media? I tried email but nothing.

Unreal engine 5 looks promising. Maybe it could be hacked somehow? https://youtu.be/oQx4SyM_iH4

I shot them an email as well.

I could imagine that AI maybe helping get a syllable or word here and there to smooth things over. Our ‘become a dyad’ line or ‘birth of her son.’

I agree whole sentences would sound off, but getting words or syllables to fill in things … it could be doable. It would be great if they respond and are willing to provide help with it.

I feel like a lot is riding on my shoulders now. It’s okay.

Yeah, the real-time voice AI is track but you can grab the odd word or two.

I screwed up my computer installing the github program but someone did send me a Google link (which I can’t find right now) if anyone has it, some others may find it interesting to play with.

I usually type what I’m looking for 10ish times with various spaces so it changes inflections etc.

Yeah, I’ve tried to get my hands on both deepfake and voice cloning software, and I’ve gotten nowhere. I don’t think my computer is built for that kind of software and built more for gaming.

I would say that it does actually sound just like Adam Driver, just happens that the inflection makes it clear it’s AI. That said, there’s a difference between what Adam Driver sounds like and what Kylo Ren sounds like. But I’m not going to be a killjoy about it at this point, if we do get the chance to make up some new lines, that’d be cool. But ultimately we won’t know if it’ll be usable until we hear it (seems like the AI can be hit and miss).
