I just LOVE how misleading it was that they framed both of them in 16:9, even though the GOUT is only 4:3 letterbox.
I seriously have not come across a more non-fuctioning retarded site on the internet.
Largely in part why I don't usually visit it. That and the fact is has next to no content that interests me.
.....Ok the point of this thread, I'm wanted to check out the now infamous article on the OS published in 2006 on the changes between OOT and the SE's with comparison pics.
The old links:
SW - http://www.starwars.com/episode-iv/release/video/f20060825/index.html
TESB - http://www.starwars.com/episode-v/release/video/f20060901/index.html
ROTJ - http://www.starwars.com/episode-vi/release/video/f20060908/index.html
A search of the site results in copious amounts of links to the message boards - about as useful and welcomed as a kick to the face. The search engine used to search the site is Yahoo (along with official branding). Seriously who the hell uses Yahoo, well maybe I would if they paid me to, but the fact remains it's a rubbish search engine.
My best hope so far has been http://www.archive.org/web/web.php I can find the articles but can't see the comparison pictures.
Does any one have any help or suggestions? It will be very much appreciated by me.
I know there's extensive lists of the changes around the internet and dvdactive.com articles on the subject are quite good but I was actually hoping for the OS take on the matter.

The official site offered no opinion whatsoever, and was only the visual changes. It was luckily unbiased.
That's the only info I have that might help you.
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em
Oh yes I know that, I've read the article before I really just want to review the pictures again.

You can restrict a Google search by adding site:www.starwars.com to the search field.
HTH
Somebody here did a comparison DVD of the differences that worked very similiar to the feature that used to be on the official site.

Yeah I already tried restricting a google search to starwars.com
From the looks of things the artcles are no longer hosted on the OS. My only hope is if someone saved the images or posted them elsewhere, I doubt it though.
It was a really good resource :(

Yeah, ever since they redesigned the site, a lot of stuff has disappeared. I was looking for the Return of the Ewok video on starwars/hyperspace (I had it bookmarked) and it's not there anymore. Fortunately, it's on the starwars.yahoo.com site, but I'm sure there's a lot of stuff that is gone for good.

The Official site deleated a lot of good stuff after the redesign when they went Clone Wars crazy. The Visual Guide they where doing in chapters was the ony thing that kept me going back. Sadly, I never saved any of it to my hard drive.
Luck for you, I saved all the Changes images and copied and pasted there text descriptions to a seperate notepad document.
A PM with there rapidshare link is on its way to you.

How do you do that?
And on this I can agree, the official site use to be fount of information, I tried to find a list of Clone Wars episodes and after about 5 clicks I had had it.

Never mind the comment bot above. Non-Y2K-compliant, and all that.
Can anybody share all three of these? I'd also like to know who is speaking in them.
