 No. Look at the actual full sized images again. (Hint hint).

Reposting from an earlier question from Adywan:

===================================

when you get to the later part of the film.

adywan said:
There is something that i have been meaning to ask, but it seems you don't have a thread specifically for ROTJ, so i will ask here.

There is a section on ROTJ that is out of focus on the HDTV & Blu-Ray versions. As you have a print of ROTJ i'm hoping you can check this section and post some screenshots that can settle an ongoing argument. From the point of the shuttle reaching Endor and giving the code right up until the beginning of the speeder bike chase ther difference is sharpness is terrible. there seems to be some sort of horizontal smearing. The worse shot that really shows this problem off is the shot below. If you could just post a hi-res screengrab off your scan of this one shot then it would prove one way or another iif there was a huge problem with the official ROTJ transfer

and her is a comparison between 2 shots inside the shuttle of Han that also shows the difference between two sections of the film
---------------------------------------------------------------------
First, from :
============
Image Quality
There are moments in Return Of The Jedi where there is softness, one character can be seen in focus and the other is slightly out of focus or you get scenes which have soft focus for the entire frame, thats intentional and should not be confused with digital noise reduction, there is a moment approximately 54 minutes into the film where the quality suddenly drops, the moment in question is when Han, Luke, Princess Leia, Chewie and the droids are approaching the Death Star for clearance to go to the forest moon of Endor, the issue continues until around the 58 minute mark, at this point they are on the Endor moon, i have no idea why that happens, resolution seems to drop off, detail becomes poor and everything seems slightly out of focus, i don't think its the way it was filmed since the issue is seen on several differently shot sequences during those 4 or so minutes, perhaps when they originally did the film scans in 2004 something went wrong and its never been fixed.
On one of the prints, we have not noticed any difference in the shots.
They are as sharp as the rest of the film.

We've been going through one of the versions.

So far the colors look great. There is a lot of dust and scratches on it though, so it won't be that quick or easy to convert.

Hopefully the other versions will have cleaner frames.

There's quite a bit of noise on the tails and heads of each reel.

Also, there is a lot of inherent weave in the film itself. You can see the sockets are stabilized, but when they printed the film, the image moves around.

The entire image will need to be stabilized.

This is from reel 2:

We know there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in Jedi. However, we will be posting some shots from the unaltered original version, including but not just:

=====================================================

The Rancor, the Sarlacc pit, the dance scene, and few more.

Let us know of any other ones of interest.

 Very much interested. But also well aware that it will probably be quite a wait before it is complete.

 Not to get your hopes up. But the damage is relatively a lot less than empire. It's a lot more than our Star Wars LPP.

We do have multiple prints, so we can combine them for a better one.

Honestly, besides color correction. More than 60% of this movie is watchable right now.

 Well despite your best effort, my hopes are up. :P

Do you think, then, that it surpass the others films in completion status? Or perhaps it already has, for Empire.

I wanted to chime in that I certainly have interest in this project, just nothing to add to the discussion by posting.  I wouldn't necessarily equate a less-active thread with less interest in the thread topic.

I'm very interested, ROTJ was my favorite of the three when I was younger.

Easily, yes. There is a small push to get this out after Star Wars, or even before it, if possible.

There will be a screening of this movie, just like the other two. So we will know later this year, how feasible it will be.

Comments are the only way for us to know about interest, otherwise, what is the point of posting pictures and videos, without feedback.

Lots of people want to see what is being worked on, and the quality of it, since we don't have a real official version out.

There are many comments about all kinds of minute details for other projects, this restoration needs other people to look it at, besides ourselves. Or we will be the only ones that end up enjoying it.

So feel free to post relevant questions, and comments about images, quality and other topics.

I for one, would love to see Vader's eyebrows.

All three of your projects make me giddy, to really see the original unaltered films exactly as they were. Return of the Jedi was my favorite when I was younger, and I anxiously await your release.

 I'm interested, I just don't have a lot to input anymore =)

Also, I've been browsing using my laptop a lot lately, and it's not quite powerful enough to watch the videos =( And then I forget to check them later on my desktop.

 Dailymotion streams the video at variable rates.

You can watch in 320p/480p/720p and 1080p.

While the aging me has grown to appreciate the superior storytelling and power that comes with Empire, Return of the Jedi was my favorite as a kid and will always probably hold the most nostalgia.  My '95 VHS tapes are so worn, particularly Jedi.  I cannot wait for this and will be so glad to finally see Yub Nub and Shaw's ghost and the pre-SE Jabba's Palace sequence in glorious HD with beautiful character-adding film grain and original colors.  Team_Negative1, thank you does not seem to be enough for what you are doing for the community.
