Pretty sure that's a behind-the-scenes image and not a still from the film. You can see the stump where the wing ends prematurely and some of the set through the window...
Hey guys, check out the image on the homepage of starwars.com right now (this is the story associated with it). It has the black-panel R2 from what I assume is their new 4k restoration. This is the strongest indication yet that the OOT is officially on its way to BD!

Yes exciting as this would be, it looks clearly like a photo to me and I'm almost 99.99% sure that shot isn't in SW anyhow.
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.
This proves that black R2 has been fired.
That's racist!
Yeah that's definitely an on-set photograph taken during the filming
The Person in Question
I was going to ask how is this proof that the OOT is coming out.
Because image!

Other than making fun of the other thread, that was what I was going for.

Yeah OK I think you're right, but it's a blue-screen shot and the background is black, so it's not a raw behind-the-scenes shot. Disney has regardless chosen a photo they know will invoke (as it did for me) images of the OOT in the minds of the visitors to starwars.com, to me that's still a pretty strong indication that an official OOT is indeed happening.

...still not seeing the connection of that pic and the OOT.
How about this image posted on the official Star Wars facebook page of a shot notorious of being tampered with?
Welp, that confirms it, OOT is coming to blu ray.
Well, it may not be any sort of indication to a future OOT blu ray, photos like that do reveal that today's Lucasfilm isn't so afraid of acknowledging the original craftsmanship of the films.

Handman that photo looks great!
@boredom3031 - all I said was that the image is in my opinion the "strongest indication yet" that we are getting the OOT officially on bluray. I may have been mistaken about thinking the shot was from the films (although notice Handman's photo shows the bluescreen and that the photo I posted should show the bluescreen if it's a raw BTS photo), but I still think it's an indication of what's coming. After all it looks so distinctly different to how the DVD version (also released on BD) looks. Of course there's no confirmation yet, notice that we know that they have done a new 4k restoration but we don't know any release details - I think that itself is a good sign. It means they're doing the restoration and then worrying about release, instead of announcing it first and then making the restoration fit to the release deadline.

I've never seen this photo... Why is the landspeeder upside down?
Motion control, I suppose. You don't always have to do things in "normal" orientation when you're working with effects shots.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

Everything's coming up Milhouse!
They could put pictures of anything on there. I won't take it as any indication that the OOT is coming, until there's some sort of official word on it. As I'd rather not get my hopes up again only to be let down.

Could the lights just be off?
I wouldn't take these production stills as any particular sign that the OOT is on its way. After all, there was plenty of bts footage in Empire of Dreams of stuff that had been thoroughly altered on the accompanying discs of the actual movies. The irony is no doubt lost on whatever interns posted these photos.

Actually now that I think about it, perhaps that angle doesn't show the blue-screen.

I'm quite fond of this image they have tucked away in the article:
OMG THE OOT IS COMING OUT
I've already pre-ordered it on amazon!
