My understanding is that the section we're posting in right now is intended for comparing various official Lucasfilm releases, so an announcement for a new edit really should go elsewhere.

Nah, it turns out he made some changes that screw with the original vision Lucas had back in the '70s so there really is nothing decent available yet.
