has anyone ever done a preservation of the beta trilogy I’ve heard that quality is better than the original vhs releases.

I know they have from star wars to jedi on beta as well.

any one ever do a transfer of these?

The ced discs, the 8mm digest reels, or the vhd releases would also make for rare transfer stuff.

Oh yeah and of course, Full feature versions of star wars, empire and jedi on 8mm, 16mm or 35mm film.

Did anyone ever think about doing a voice over for the title crawl? The Guy on the story of star wars lp reads it for a new hope.

No kidding? That's kinda cool, though it certainly makes sense. Do the radio dramas do this to?

Considering the out-of-print nature of both Beta & CED, I would think it would be hard to actually do a conversion with anysuch equipment and hope for it to be of any reasonably good quality. That being said, I myself own SW on Beta & have Jedi on CED...

I have the Star Wars Video Rental Library Beta. Would love to transfer it to DVD when I get extra cash to buy a good stereo beta player.

The Beta and CED versions are the same as all the other early home video releases. Full frame and 2.0 soundtrack. (The rental library version is mono, but a mixdown!) I'm satisfied no official NTSC versions have any surprises or holy grails.

I'm bumping this up as I didn't want to start a new topic

Does anyone know where I can dowload From Star Wars' to Jedi: The Making of a Saga

I know OCP included it in the extras to his Classic Edition: ROTJ but since the that is no longer being torrented I was hoping some one would be able to help me out.

Thanks.

I don't know if it is still being seeded, but over at myspleen there was a two DVD set that had all four of the classic documentaries in it.
