Fan-made Star Wars music videos

 (Edited)

A friend of mine once made a music video from “The Phantom Menace” where he edited over the “Duel of Fates” theme with the U2 classic “Sunday, Bloody Sunday”. Even though he knew it was supposed to be an anti-war song, he felt that the fast, violent rythm [probably spelled that wrong] suited the action.

Anyone else around here ever kick around songs that you’d like to play over your favorite or least favorite Star Wars scenes?

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

I had this dream once that Lapti Nek would be a good song in Return of the Jedi. See, Lapti Nek is this song that doesn't show up in that movie or its soundtrack ...

What gets me is that George said that he orginally wanted a "big musical number," why didn't he just show us that longer version of Lapti Nek? They recorded the footage.

The truth is, and he's practically admitted this, is that he hadn't directed a film in 20 years and wanted to knock the rust off before diving into the prequels. Great way to hone your skills, George. By screwing up one of your previous collaborations with your own single-minded vision.

Have I mentioned how much I hate Jedi Rocks lately? (Damn, I'm going to need to add that to my sig soon)

I'm pretty sure that for the Ultimate Release GL will replace Jedi Rock for a 20+ minutes Eletric Light Orchestra extravaganza, similar to the last 30 minutes in "Xanadu".
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

If I were to re-edit the films, I would have Snoodles fall in the pit at the end of Jedi rocks. I would also cut much of the song and the opening seens out to pick up the pace, and center it around Lapti Nek.

I wish he would just edit out Jedi Rocks altogther and put in its place CGI renditions of the Jefferson Starship hologram scene from the HS.
