I kbow its kind of early but who do you think will be the villian?

I'm thinking the Spiderman 3 villiam will either be The Lizard, The Hobgoblin (both, maybe?)

I'd love to say Venom, but alas, the Venom storyline is too big to fit into a single movie.

However, it is possible that the black suit may be intoduced in Spiderman 3, which could then be followed by a Venom plotline in Spiderman 4 (and maybe even Carnage in Spiderman 5)

Now, i'm sure my fellow comic nerds will recall that Spiderman first encountered the black suit symbiot on an alien planet during the Marvel Comics Secret Wars, and that storyline is so involved that it would be impossible to work into these films.

BUT, in the cartoon series, the astronaut John Jamison inadvertantly brings the black suit symbiot back from one of his space missions, there's a problem landing his space shuttle, and Spiderman rescues Jamison & encopunters the symbiot & gets the black suit that way.

And THAT, my friends, IS easily acheivable on film. Especially since the John Jamison Character has already been introduced. All they would need to do is introduce Eddie Brock in Spiderman 3, just enough so we'd know who he is in part 4

I didn't read the comics, so is the hobgoblin what they were setting up for Harry to become at the end of Spidey 2? That's the yellow one right?

my brother has the Marvel Masterpiece Collections i think they are called. the books that have about 10 comics reprinted in them. he's got the first four, it goes through his first apperance in Amazing Fantasy #15 and then starts through the amazing spiderman comics. Ive only read most of the first book though, really gotta start reading them again.

He wasn't that big of a villian but most i'm hearing is venom but the lizard is a possiblity.

I agree as well, just saying that ive heard that as a possibility.

The lizard would be cool, They did mention Dr. Conners in the first and showed him in the second, so its possible they use him, but use him or not, i think they should have set up his field of research some more in 2 when they showed him.

I would love to see venom, but that would really need to be 2 movies and thats if they portray it in a similar way that they did in the 90's cartoon. Plus they could have brought the symbiot back during 2, not that they still cant do it, but if they do its looking like they wont use brock, he only had a passing mention. They have JJJ's son's set up in a position to hate Parker already (Brock hates Parker, Symbiot hates Spider-Man) so they may twist venoms character that way, which i would be against (dont think they should change the origins of the characters too much) Though there is also very strong set up for Green Goblin 2. I dont think they will really push that off with the setup they gave it, but they might (wouldnt be typical hollywood though) which would be nice. My fear is that they give him 2 villians to fight, which doesnt generally seem to work that well.

The other thing to consider is, if im not mistaken arent the actors only signed on for 3 films? Im not really a fan of the changing actors in the middle of a saga. So if they only go with 3 then its more reason they wont do venom, unless they do it in one film which i think will mess it up.
