I have been thinking about a TLJ fan-edit for a while.
I generally have a problem how TFA and TLJ sit with other. So I have decided it is better fixed by re-editing TFA.
This will be my very first Fan-it and the problem I am grappling with is resolution.
Is it better to do TFA in 1080 and TLJ in 4k?
OR all in 1080?
If you have the means/funds to edit in 4k you are probably an industry grade editor. If not, 1080p is the norm.
Do you have an introduction to your ideas and an edit list?
For TFA I have written down what I’m going to do. I am going to add a 20th Century Fox intro with “A subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company”, change the “along time ago…” into the old font. And essentially remove all scenes of Rey arriving at the island. Finally change the credits; remove Mark Hamill’s credit and insert 20th century credit.
I have decided to do TLJ in 4K. I will need to split the movie up into quite a few segments. My biggest problem is how to deal with Poe’s mutiny.
