I don't know how I'd be able to get used to gauging temperature in Celsius.

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I can't get used to Fahrenheit. I can't figure out the basis! Water freezes at 32F, and boils at 212. Why? What does 0F represent? Is one degree fahrenheit just arbitrary. Celcius just makes sense. Water freezes at 0C, and boils at 100C. There's a real-world basis for the system.

Admittedly, when I'm cooking, I still set my oven to 350F, rather than 175C

you bastard, is rain and very cold here still. Its the shitty cold too, the one where no matter how many layers you where, the cold jsut penetrates you. and if you are walking with your hands out you can feel them after 5 mins.

ok here is the story the guy who came up with it, found his own body temperature to be 96, and the freezing point of salt water to be 0 F, and so that how it worked,

i taught myself a rough conversion cuz when i travel in the states i like to know how warm its gonna be. just remember easy number like what 10, 20,25, 30 degree C is equal to in F.
but otherwise F just really confuses me.
