Umm hotlikefire, I know you are a great homie and sister 4 life but I will let your stupidity slide, let me tell you a story about the legend of Gayden Crystalemth.

Gayden Crystalmeth is the worst actor who has EVER lived. In his short years on this planet thus far, he has mangage to destroy every single movie he has been in. Crystalmeth is completely worthless but that not where it stop, he's ugly frog looking face has for some reason made the dumb love-sick fangirls (you) overlook his atrocious acting but his looks have NO effect on me and Iwill not let his wooden acting slide.

Fcct. Did you know that Gayden won a Razzie for worst supporting actor in 2002. Yeah he did up a turd in AOTC.

Anyway, his boyfriend Trevor Blumus (who worthless in front of a camera himself) is a better actor then Gayden and is getting ready to surpass him in every department. Who didn't laugh at that cremepuff when he said "I like sand" and then thanks to Darth Luca$, Gayden has not only disrespected the good name of David Prowse but Sebastian Shaw as well...How dare that boyband reject think he can be "Darth Vader, the dark lord of the Sith".

Did any of you see Shatter Glass...I did and let me tell you Thank GOD for peter Saagard but even he wasn't able to carry 175 lbs of uselessness to a good performance.

HLF, when will you actually understand that Crystalmeth and his bad hairdo with wooden line that a beaver wouldn't even eat to win back over the public.

OMG, I just want to cause this guy so much bodily harm, and the fact that he still intent on CONTINUING HIS ACTING CAREER is scandelous.

"If you are with me, then you are my enemy"

or what about his "I love you" contest that he had with Portman in the rotting movie. And did you see that ridiculous smirk he had at the end of ROTJ. He looked like he just got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He made that scen with Yoda and Obi-Wan totally pathetic....WHO CAN JUSTIFY THIS? Instead of Gayden practicing his saber tachnique with that stunt con man Dillard, he should have gone back to acting school (did he even attend to begin with?) and master the sweet science of acting.

NO HLF, you don't know best.

Actually, Lucas decided that.

Ok, Hayden wasn't that good in AOTC, but Sith, well I thought he did a pretty good job of looking moody an' shit.

He didn't do much for me in either, but I've decided that he was pretty much in a no-win situation, meaning that even if the prequels were actually good some folk out there would have been disappointed in him anyway.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

I use to think Natalie Portman was a bad actress/wooden when I saw the first two prequels (I hadn't seen here in much else before then). I've since changed my opinion seeing her in Closer, Garden State ... and a few other movies she was in, she's actually really good. I think you're only as good as what you have to work with. Lucas is a cheesy romantic, obviously ... and couldn't write his way out of wet paper bag. I put the blame on the dialogue itself, more than the actors.

Once again, he has stated multiple times that the dialogue, style, etc, is all based on cliches and old movies. It's to be expected.

There is a saying...

"There are no bad actors, only bad directors."

In a way I agree. What do others think?

Eh, as someone learning to act, I don't quite agree. It does take a lot of skill and training and experience to be a good actor, and just having a good director can't always get you there. But, yes, having a bad director can be a big hindrance as well as a bad script. They're all little pieces to the puzzle, and they all have to fit together.

And wow, kev, that was quite a tirade.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Oh, there's definitely such a thing as a bad actor. I used to be one. But, then again, I've also been a bad director.

The point is, Lucas liked Hayden in the role. And if the guy spending over ten years of his life and hundreds of millions of dollars of his own money on the project says he likes it, then that's what counts.

I thought he wasnt that good in Clones, but was an improvement in Sith and was actually quite good in some parts,

I know George saw something in him (Adam) but i still felt he should have gone with a more experienced actor for the part of Anakin..

Hayden did a good job in Sith and he was much better than he was in Clones. I hear his acting in other movies is pretty good, but I haven't seen them.
George Lucas was seduced by the dark side. The OOT ceased to exist in his mind and became the Special Editions...." "They're more maching now than movies. Twisted and evil."

Except those older movies weren't quite as annoying as the prequels.

In the prequels, he was an older version of Jake Lloyd's character. In life, he'll be the older version of Jake Lloyd.

I have see Hayden in other movies and he was pretty good. Don't you think it's part of a director's job to realise an actor is not doing a good job and do something about it?

Hmm...I believe this is the second time HLF has created an "I love Hayden Christensen" thread.

Well I for one think that Hayden was OK. Its Lucas who makes all things seem out of place... It doesn´t matter if an excelent actor would have done Anakin as long as that man is in charge. He made the best trilogy ever and just could not leave it at that...

What I´m rambling about is that we shall all blame Lucas... not the actors.
