Character Actor Steve Franken Dies at 80
His film résumé includes a memorable slapstick turn as a drunken servant opposite Peter Sellers in Blake Edwards’The Party (1968) and roles in The Americanization of Emily(1964), Panic in the City (1968), Which Way to the Front?(1970), Westworld (1973), The Reincarnation of Peter Proud(1975), The Missouri Breaks (1976), The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu (1980), Curse of the Pink Panther (1983), Nurse Betty(2000), Angels & Demons (2009) and Reach, a movie not yet released.
On Dobie Gillis, which ran from 1959-63 on CBS, Franken played Chatsworth Osborne Jr., a millionaire dilettante who spars with Dobie (Hickman) and beatnik Maynard G. Krebs (Bob Denver). Chatsworth is introduced in the show’s first season as a cousin to Warren Beatty’s character, Milton Armitage. (Beatty left the series after one season.)

One of if not the best lyricists of my lifetime.
Michael Clark Duncan
He seemed like such a nice guy. Sad to hear about his passing.
^Yes it knocked me a bit to read that.
Not so much just died but recently remembered.
However more recently Terry Nutkins.
Derek Jameson the last time I saw him was in this amazing television show where the elderly showed all the signs of regeneration when they were treated as if they were in their prime.
And my Aunty Mandy who loved David Essex (I don't think he ever found out).
No confirmed reports of an incompetent French policeman being involved.
Great actor sadly missed.
Michael O'Hare typically for a time traveling transpecies warrior messiah he managed to depart this planet aged 52 and aged 60 :
None of you knows this man, but I do. While not close friends, I'd still consider him an friend. He and I attended the same congregation at church until some very recent boundary changes. I sat by him several times. He has a wife and two very young daughters. I am saddened by this news, and I don't really want it to be a political discussion. It's just always different when you read about it happening to someone in some place you've never heard of and when it happens to someone you actually know.

God be with the Ivie family, and goodbye Nick. Families are forever.
It's depressing to think nearly half the cast of Babylon 5 has died.
It's amazing most of the original Star Trek cast is still with us, and all of the TNG cast are still around.

Sir Patrick Moore 89 :-(
I met him once at Victoria station and he was constructed on a completely different scale to other mortals.
He was very very tall and famously rotund, he was already walking with a cane but the cane seemed to be bigger than I.
A big chunk of my life has been spent sitting down and listening to him describe the universe to the best of his ability.
He was also the gamesmaster for the better part of a decade too.
