no it is not the same,my version has not been released on myspleen yet,but will soon i hope,i now actually have 3 versions,the dark jedi one you saw on the news groups and now there is a joint effort with boba feta,the jedi/feta version,the ntsc version has exactly the same encoding as the newsgroup but fancied up alot with very nice menus and chapter selection,and case and disc art,then the 3rd version is a conversion of my ntsc version to pal also with fancy menus and chapter selection and case and disc art.
ALL versions will be available hopefully very soon

Well, in response to the versions question, i grabbed this from www.avsforum.com, so i wouldnt
have to type it. ;-)

American Theatrical Cut:
- Decard voice-overs
- No unicorn dream
- happy ending

European Theatrical Cut (the version primarily available on home video until the Directors Cut):
- Decard voice-overs
- Extra snippets of violence
- No unicorn dream
- happy ending

Director's Cut:
- No voice-overs
- No extra snippets of violence
- Unicorn dream
- No happy ending

In reading the excellent book 'Future Noir: The Making Of Blade Runner' by Paul M. Sammon, i learned that
the only diff between the US cut and the Int cut is approx 14 seconds of violence.


And of course the Work Print, which i've never seen, but have read about quite a bit.

I have a feeling your current NG version is better than what i grabbed from MySpleen
some time ago.

The US theatrical cut i grabbed last nite has very cheesy menus, so i might just rip it
and make better menus/chapters myself.

I also recenly grabbed both of the Blade Runner documentaries in xvid or divx format,
and have made VCD's of them. Now i'm hoping to locate artwork for at least the
BBC doc 'On The Edge Of Blade Runner', which is excellent.

i would like to cut down some of the stress on metallaxis,so winman42 if you have code clearance to post at myspleen i could send you the blade runner(jedi/feta)version in ntsc and pal,i do not have clearance or the know how on creating torrents,but once posted i can help seed the crap out of it if need be.

previews of artwork they have created, and wondered how
this was done, Is there a template that creates a display

doctor M,if you would like them just PM me your info,i would gladly send you them if you would like,i cant wait to see the fixed ANH,also do you have case and disc art for this set of yours,this is another one that belongs on the shelf.
also the widescreen is the "Definitive Collection"transfer,and in answer to your quere,i would post a clip if i knew where to post it,but i can tell you that anyone who has seen them likes them,and the list is getting longer,not trying to brag,but like ocpmovie said it is cool to see these the way they were a long time ago,his exact qoute was that they are "lovely"and it is nice to have if you are a completist as russs15 says.
now me personally,i think the pan and scan set is alright,i am not big on fullscreen anymore,but needed to capture before the LD's or the player go bad.

ErikStormtrooper was going to work on covers for my set, but some bad weather came his way so he has worse problems to deal with at the moment.
No other plans at the moment for art.

DJ, I appreciate your offer, but I'm fairly happy with my edition at the moment. I was just curious to see how yours looked for comparison (in truth I'd prefer a really good DC transfer to a so-so PAL source only because the PAL, even with higher rez, has more flaws.)

So again, would a sample clip be possible? I'm not terribly attached to my own work, the first set that beats mine will become my new favorite. I'd like to see if that will be yours.

well yours Dr. M, was done from a PAL source right?Pal has much better resolution than NTSC correct?my sets were done from NTSC LD sources,not as good resolution,still with me,so i think the answer is obvious.

I would LOVE this set, and if I could receive this copy, I would seed to 150% on MySpleen and whatever tracker you may use! I have been looking for your Special Edition transfers! I will also pay it forward. It is a great thing to do.
