i just can not seem to get anywhere with my project. i have dvd copys i am working with.i have tons of apps i have tried using to get the title ready for encoding to lossless huffyuv. i have 2 sources for my project 1 progressive 23.976 and the other interlaced 29.970. so i need to get the second one down to progressive 23.976. i have tried everything in the adigitalman tutorial. i had success creating an avs script for the 23.976 file but every time i try the same steps with the other one gordian knot says "its not a valid d2v file".  if i demux all tracks video and audio are different lengths and i have tried demuxing so many different ways. i tried fixing gop errors in womble it does nothing. i cant even remember everything i have tried cause i have been working on it for a long time. i am starting to think i have to transcode these files before i can do anything at all with them. i really could use some advice from someone who has done this work before.

wellll i dont know where to go from here so i am encoding it. this solves several problems for me. although of course we will see how the quality is before i edit. but what this does is gives me synced audio and i am able to hardcode the subs into the picture saving days of work. and it deinterlaces the 29.970 one. so i will be working with 2 progressive sources. i am using ripbot x264 with a high profile at over 4400 kbps. if this leads to noticeable quality loss i will raise the bitrate. beyond doing this i am stuck on trying to go about it by demuxing and repairing timecodes and making d2v and avs scripts. that method just is not working for me.
