hi guys i am doing some captureing of some sw,blade runner, and some disney lds and was wondering what is the best way to put the chapter points in,besides using tmpgenc dvd author,i really cant figure this proggy out and i dont like having to use thier templates, plus i like to have sound on my menu's,i have been using dvdit pe,so any suggestions would be great,i have the movies and extras all captured and they look good and sound great but i am tired of using generic chapter points,i think it is time to step up and put them where they are suppose to go.
thanks in advance for the help

Have you tried Adobe Encore? You can download a 30 day trial from the Adobe website. Inserting chapter points is pretty basic and it does have some rather advanced features it is also fully compatable with layered PSD files (handy for menus).

DVD Lab makes it very easy. and it also has a 30-day trial.

I found DVD Lab Pro isnt too hard to figure out, you just need to play around with it a bit. It also depends on how complicated you want to get...ive only made one very simple dvd so far.

There are some good tutorials out there. I found a couple at videohelp.com and doom9.org while i was playing around with it and trying to find out how to do a few things. There are tutorials ranging from a simple dvd to more complex motion menu's and all the works

It should have come with a help file (if not, PM me with your email), and there are these boards as well DVD Lab forums.

Basically, you want to frame-index the film first. Double-c;ick on the film, and then select Mvoi>Frame-index>Rebuild frame index.

After that, slide the vertical bar left or right to the appropriate spot, and press the "+" button on the top of the bar. There's your chapter point. Note the time, so that you can set the chapter button in your menu to the correct location.
