i couldnt find the old thread for this so i just made a new one. i saw the new battle star galatica last week and i really liked it, i was just wondering are they going to make a new series or was that just a one time thing.

Pretty sure it's just a one off. At least that's what Edward James Olmos (the new Adama) said in an interview.

I had no desire to see it. Certain elements looked cool, but it just didn't appeal to me as a whole.

well the space battles looked pretty cool in the trailers, so i guess id like to see it just for that.

I was signed up for a while for the SciFi networks weekly e-mails and none of them so far have said anything about furthering the Battlestar Galactica mini into a regular series or adding more episodes or whatnot. Sorry.

I think what was coolest about the show was seeing the evolution of the ships. All the new ships were bad ass until the need arose and they brought out the old Colonial Vipers. Still some of the coolest ships out there. And to see them flying using modern CG effects was just great!

It's hard to like when you're a big fan of the original. I felt the same way to a degree. I tried to enjoy it and I did, but it pales in comparison to the first.

you mean the series from the film?

well i know some people who really disliked the series, their main problem with it was the design of everything. and to some degree i agree, i mean the harkonnen in the film were plain nasty, and the saudarkar were terrifying as they should be, but on the other hand the storyline in the film was messed up...

Apparently, it's been announced in the last couple of days that SciFi intends to turn this into a regular series. Doubt you'll see Olmos back though.
