I discovered her music before I discovered her... and I love it! Great stuff. Then I found out she was a model, and hot. Even better. And THEN she started acting and.... well..... http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e274/Tith_/4_15_2.gif

This almost seems like it belongs in the Beautiful Women thread.

Has anyone noticed that Milla seems to have a "nudity required" clause in her contract? Seriously; when was the last time you saw a Milla Jovovich film where she didn't take her clothes off? I'm not being judgmental; just observant.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

I suppose you could call me a fan of her amazing beauty, and I really thought she was great in Fifth Element... but I think her acting career is in a bit of a rut. Maybe she can do more than what she does in RE, RE:A, Ultraviolet, but she wont' until she starts actually playing things less generic.

And I had never heard that she sang.

Actually I think she DOES have a nekkid clause!

She does need to expand her acting career and I think she'd be very good in a variety of roles but as an ex-stoner chick wild-child I think she just likes goofy fun roles.

And is very comfortable with her body.

I LOVE her eyes.

As for more serious roles, did anyone else see Luc Besson's 'The Messenger'?

A very good (short of greatness though IMO) film and Milla plays it a lot more seriously than most of her films.

She was fun in 'Zoolander' as well:

She has a minor (but funny) role. Is Zoolander good? Tough question. If you know Ben Stiller and his comedy (ie from his short lived TV show) and are a fan of it, then its stupidly hilarious most of the time. Same goes for 'Dodge Ball'. On the other hand if you either don't like or aren't familiar with his stuff then you might not like it. I'm always very wary of telling people that they'll enjoy one comedy film or another as our tastes vary so much. But I'd check it out if you're curious in the least.

Is it the same kind of humour we saw him display @ the Oscars on Sunday, because that was one of the highlights of the evening.

Hmm... I didn't watch any of the Oscars so I at least can't say. I will say that 'Zoolander' grew out of a short spoof of the fashion industry that he did for the VH1 Fashion Awards.

I do like stupid humor, but it has to have some sort of witty edge for me. I HATE Adam Sandler and all his ilk... the Chris Farleys and the Jim Carreys of the 'comedy world'. To me they are one trick ponies and I don't like the trick. Look, I'm a stupid man-child! Look, I'm a fat pig who breaks stuff and yells! Look, I can move my mouth in all sorts of stupid ways and deliver every one of my lines with the same over-emphasis on the last syllable!

For me there's a fine balance between intelligently stupid-acting and just getting laughs because you're stupid. But as usual, I digress from the subject at hand.

and DAYV... Why man??? Why an 'ex'????

I love her music and I love her in person even more!! I caught her in Denver about 10 years ago or so at the Merc (even chatted with her for a few mintues before the show at the bar downstairs )

I've got about 3 CD's from her (The Divine Comedy, The Peopletree Sessions, Live at Liberty Lunch & Tower Records) I even have a DVD that I made of her live show in Austin (BLAKTONE03) a.k.a. "Live at Liberty Lunch" that I got from another trader about 6 years ago (It had no menu or tracklistings) and I even included some interview footage on it from a public access station (also from TX) - I think you can get the "official bootleg" from her site still so that's really why I've never included it on my lists

Okay, I've sampled some of her music via Limewire, and I have defniitely decided I'm not a fan of it.

Not anything wrong with her voice, it's just not a style of music I enjoy.

Yeah, it's more of a experimental indy sound but I really dig it but then again I'm into gothy female vocal stuff like Switchblade Symphony, Collide & Xmal Deutschland BUT I'm also into the good ole' hard stuff like Agnostic Front, Blood For Blood, Madball, Sick of it All, Warzone.
