Update

I’ve added some, weeded some, and trying to do more of both.

Also, with the upcoming release Ingmar Bergman box set approaching, I’m considering weeding The Seventh Seal, though I might wait until I get the collection to do so.

Recent additions (since July) are Rain Man, Close Encounters, Spartacus, Paths of Glory, The Killing, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence, Barry Lyndon, and The Asphalt Jungle.

I planned to weed those Batman '66 animated movies (and I think I already removed them from my list here), as they aren’t that good overall, but being as they’re the last performances of Adam West, I just don’t have the heart to weed them.

WEEDED

(Batman Forever & Batman & Robin only; I’ll dispense with the other disc if/when I get my hands on Batman '89 on BD.)

I blame my inner Marcionist.

Anyway, I haven’t technically weeded it yet. I’m gonna watch it first, then pass it on to someone who’ll likely appreciate it more than I.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this question, but does anyone know if the Warner Premium Collection Blu-rays available over at HMV are region free? I’ve been eyeing a few of their releases for a while now, but I’m not sure if they’ll play on my US player.

ADDED

(I’m only holding onto the disc with Mr. Sardonicus; I couldn’t care less about the other movies.)

Reservoir Dogs, Inglorious Basterds, School of Rock, and The Matrix (UHD combo) are in the mail.

While I’m still uncertain about the merits of HDR, the remastered Blu is supposed to be a major improvement above the supposedly too green original release. So I’m glad I sprung, and I got a good deal on a eBay.

Got Alien 4K to future proof. 15 bucks on Amazon (in a stupid eco box… is nothing sacred?).

Trying to decide if I should pawn off my quadrilogy box. I used to like Aliens, but last time I watched it I was bored to death. Who has time for 3/Resurrection?

Maybe I’ll watch aliens again and decide.

^ oh man , I would keep the CED of Raiders just for the artwork alone and use it as a display piece or hang it on my wall ! those things are the size of record albums and the art looks great on them.

The Laserdisc copy I have has the same cover as the CED, and same transfer (complete with Temple of Doom teaser at the start)

I need to find a good site to organize my DVD and Blu-ray collection.

But LD on the other hand…
I forgot to post a link in here so here goes:

I’ve documented my Laserdisc collection in video form on my regular channel…it’s really weird to think I’m now close to 1,000 titles! These are the additions for last month:

Blu-ray.com has a great library feature, including a phone app that scans barcodes.
