Seems to be his personal channel [PhilsAttic], a few other SW bits, some Robocop 2, Starship Troopers +more
Well, actually I think he's right about that too, in the ROTJ script Han is not an interesting character.
True, but I don't think he ever really cared about Han anyway. Didn't he want him killed off in ESB too?

Nice, thanks for posting. I'm still amazed how damn creative the old ILM'ers were back then, true heroes...

Parts of the Iraqi dub of TPM with multiple subs AND 'AC3'.

Think it's a fan creation, during the fight scene they keep yelling 'Allah'.

The duel actually feels more like Star Wars with the added Persian (?) porn talk.
The constant sound of vulture droids buzzing around the Fed ship is a nice touch too.
The Jedi sound much less placid and wooden.
Not too sure about the Lynchian soundtrack choices and the heroic Darth Sidious cue, the constant cries of what sounds to these ears of "Allah" when ever leaping up or down are very strange but on the whole a massive improvement.

Neeto, Big Green LFL logo! "SOUS-TITRAGE CODE" is a french closed captioning term. Would that make this a televised recording. But that slight red fade on the right side seems more of a film conversion issue.

Here's another version which has a noticable bend to it, leading me to think it's a theater recording.

Most of the OT trailers subbed in french.

Yes, it's a television recording aired in France in december 1992, taken from my old VHS before it breaks ! I only saved the Opening and closing credits in French...

What was the occasion? channel? does it have commercials? I'm into these television airings. Weird that so late, they would still air a pre-Episode version of the movie. Thanks for the site and commercials. Did they ever do a french audio commercial/trailer or were they always these subtitles. I've seen the same thin lined white fonted subs in the Japanese trailers. Maybe they never used foreign dubs in the commercials. Which would seem strange to see the commercial in english then go to the theaters and hear it in french.

(google translation)
During a TV show "serious" about the extras-terrestrial, Rene Joly sings the words of Etienne Roda-Gil (1977). Yup, this talented author has not written as masterpieces as "Alexandria, Alexandra" or "Lake Maggiore" ...
and they've subtitled it as well:

It was during Christmas Holidays, on a Channel called France 3 and there was no commercials during the movie.
Regarding the trailers and commercials, they were dubbed in French for the theatres.

Plinkett's ROTS review.
Screencap from Osamu Tezuka's short film "Jumping" (1984):
It's shown very briefly at normal speed. The image flashed by and I thought 'wait a minute, was that...' :p
