No offense guys, but what "should" have been in the movie is what Lucas wanted in the movie, since he created the films and he owns them. If he had listened to what the fans want, then he would be the studios. I mean, he spent over 10 years of his life devoted to them. I think he knew exaqctly what he wanted and what he needed in order to tell the story he wanted to tell.

I agree, he had the right to make them in what ever way he wanted, If you made the film, you would have the right to make them the way you wanted.

Doesn't Anakin/Vader lay that old "Join me and we'll rule/overthrow the Emperor" on Padme right at the end of RotS? It's an interesting concept since I don't buy Anakin's fall at this point. I can't imagine that the Dark Side has really taken hold of him already and I don't see why he would really feel a connection to Palpy since he DID just find out that he has been manipulating their friendship for sooo long. Anyways, so if he went into it thinking he could overturn the Emperor (and the Dark Side for that matter), but kinda gets stuck on hold... then I could buy it. But why he waits for 20+ years to do it doesn't make sense. So, I guess you can't have it both ways.

im not sure its fairt to even ask Lucas why Vader has to obey his master, he doesnt know either. the real 'mystery of the dark side' Adam, is found in the old trilogy not in the new ones where the mystery could be cleared up or founded in some way, but Lucas just fucked it up.
the real enraging thing about the prequels is not that its the worst thing ever, but that its so close to touching on what could have been awesome that it just fails all the more.

is Adam a gimmick? or is he Lucas in disguise? cause no one can be that stubborn.

thank the maker

In reality, I'm his son, Jett. Dad was gracious enough to give me a role in Episode II and Episode III.

I think Adam and many other sad prequel fans like himself is that they don't have an "imagination" where they can't expand that brainless mind of theirs and need everything tinkered and scenes added and everything spelled out.

Oh well I've given up on Star Wars anyway. I only come her a few times mostly to chat in the off-topic section so basically there is more to life than Star wars

Well, if you believe the Jedi Vergere, there IS no darkside to the Force, only in people. When people use the Force selfishly, they are using the "Dark Side."

Theoretically, the power of the Dark side could tear stars apart of you tapped into it enough, or, if Palpatine's story of Darth Plagus it to be believed, it can create life.

Alternatively, the power of Darkseid could just be his nasty omega beams. Look what they did to poor Dan Turpin! [/geek]
