OK, I don't know if this is going to work but I thought I'd give it a go - this is a 100% off topic thread. It seems that there's always someone saying 'shouldn't this be in another thread?...' Well, the thing is, every time a new thread is started, we talk about the topic for exact 6.7 posts, and then someone (like myself ) says something off the topic regarding a previous post, and then someone answers, and last we know we are talking about pizza stones

It was more like I took the name and jokingly tagged it onto my own idea of a utopian free for all thread.
My mum had a pizza stone and it never worked well for me. The base of the pizza would always come out soggy.
Does anyone know why the hell my emoticons and PMs don't work? It's so frickin' annoying and I've asked Jay about it and got little/no help.
I also can't post pictures. It sucks.

That's strange. Are your PMs on? I can't help with emoticons and the pictures. If they worketh not, I have no idea what to tell you.

Yeah my PMs are on, and I can recieve them, but I can't send. Come to think of it, I can't see any of the banner ads that have been mentioned by others. Maybe my work computer has some kind of funky 'don't let anything in or out' firewall.

That's probably part of the problem.

If you can, you should download Firefox Browser. It might not have the same restrictions (Though if they're good it will still apply to Firefox)

IE in all its versions has enough security holes to make empty space.

Well, I don't know, but I think the system just stops everything it possibly can and interferes with the PM function as a side effect. As you can see I have no idea what I am taliking about. I just know that I can't send Pms and I can't download stuf, otherwise I would be taking advantage of the super quick broadband and downloading music all day...legally downloading music...Oh fuck it, I admit it, I am an illegal downloader.
They really should just realise that it's always gopnna happen and the industry needs to adapt rather than trying to stop it. itunes is a good start I guess.

There could be a security setting that inadvertantly blocks PMs in addition to whatever else it's supposed to do. Unfortunately, if YIYF were to go to the IT person and ask them to let PMs through, it would indicate what he's actually doing at work, so he's kinda in a bad spot here.

YIYF, do PMs and banners work for you at home?

I'm not sure actually because I do most (all) of my internet surfing/forum chatting at work. I'll give it a look on the weekend and see.

Exactly. I go to work for fun, and ocasionally do them all a FAVOR and do 10 or 15 minutes of work.

So, I was at Live 8 London on Saturday and it was great, so many great bands, and Pink Floyd on stage for the first time in 24 years. They were brilliant, like they were never away. What did everyone else think of the whole thing? Was anyone at the gig, either in London or any oif the other gigs around the world?

Yoda at the same time you were there, I was driving on my way to pick up someone, listening to live 8 live on the radio, I listened to The Who ("We won't get fooled again", great), and then Pink Floyd... Man that was awesome, and they didn't rehearse at all! I wish I was there to see it...

Did Roger or David say anything after the show? About Pink Floyd? Was that their last?

They spoke a little about making poverty history and Roger said a bit about being on stage with these 4 guys again, but there was no hint as to weather or not they would play togetehr again or if this was a one off thing. They really didn't rehearse? THAT'S AMAZING! They sounded like they had never been apart.

Well, they played those songs over and over again for nearly 18 years, so... But it's still amazing that they could perform like that after 24 years without Roger and David seeing each other.
