I gotta say that scene is just about the only time I got the impression those characters had the slightest bit of interest in eachother.

I thought it was the only time the actors were actually playing characters rather than just reciting the lines.

COUNT DOOKU : "It is obvious that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of the Force… but by our skills with a lightsaber.”

WRONG WAY AROUND.

Every kid Jedi starts with saber lessons and then moves up to the really interesting stuff like moving rocks around, clouding people's thoughts.

All Yoda had to say was, "No I will stand here and keep deflecting your stupid lightning blasts until you give up or a rock falls on your stupid head!"

But instead he gives into Biff's...sorry Dooku's calls of chicken.

Yeah, that's pretty awful.

"Anakin!" (spoken by Padme as she hugs him after the fight with Dooku).

Bear with me here, and correct me if I'm wrong.  The Jedi aren't supposed to get attached.  Padme runs up and hugs Anakin (and ignores Obi-Wan) right in front of both Obi-Wan and fracking Yoda!  And yet they aren't suspicious.

Grrrrr....

Of course, this is from the novels which nobody on this site considers worthwhile, but in Ep. II Obi-Wan actually strongly suspects and voices his concerns to Mace Windu when Anakin is assigned to protect Padme.  Mace tells him it's a part of his growth and testing to keep his emotions in check.  In the novel for Ep. III, Obi-Wan states that he knew all along that they were involved, and not just when he states, "Anakin is the father, isn't he?"  But what's that worth to you?

As for staying on topic..."Get 'im, Dad!  Get 'im!"

That's a deleted scene from the actual movie too isn't it? I liked it better than the scene with hover-Yoda that replaced it. (It's funny that the prequels got thoroughly special editioned too, we just never saw the original.)

Anyway the dialogue in the fireplace scene got more sustained unintentional laughter than I've ever heard in a movie theater.

What about Jar Jars speech, dellow felegates.

Even if someone already posted this anytime Jar Jar opens his mouth its a disaster.

Like Qui gon says in episode 1 "the ability to speak does not make you intelligent"

I was reading my copy of The Art Of AOTC the other night and it was the plan to have Jar-Jar speak perfect English, to show how he had grown from being the clown of the first film...and then George changed his mind...again.

"We live in a real world Anakin come back to it."

Padme says this while standing there in her alluring attire.

I swear she is just playing Anakin and is a siren.

If he was sent to test his resolve to the nonsensical made up code of the prequels that a Jedi is forbidden to love or be with a woman, he failed miserably.

Isn't this thread just self-punishment for an admitted prequel hater?

Why do this to yourselves? Find your favourite edit, hopefully most of this shit will be gone and then try to forget it ever existed. I didn't actually read the thread, as I don't need my hard work of trying to forget the worst parts undone :)

Friends care for each other. Nothing wrong with that simple line.
