I’ve always thought a group edit of ANH where everyone picked a scene and edited it with their best worst ideas would be fantastic, but far too impractical to organise.
Actually this doesn’t seem like such a crazy idea. And it could be a cool way to involve forum members who like to edit but don’t have the time or resources to do a feature-length fan edit.

I dont know if this is a “worst” idea, I like it but it doesnt really fit.
Padme is spying/watching during Anakins first session with the Jedi Council.

Like you say, it’s not a “bad” edit, just a strange, midly distracting but mostly inconsequencial one. Interesting idea though. Is there any more footage to work with? With a bit of fleshing out you could stick this in the film’s extended edition (Bobson Dughnutt, that’s your calling).

I think there are a few movies which you can use some footage. The most popular is “The Other Boleyn Girl” and the scene where Natalie Portman is carry the baby. Used for Episode 3.
Maybe we can start a new thread and try to collect footage from other movies which can be used in Star Wars.

Have all the lightsaber and blaster sounds be replaced with poorly-mouth-made versions, but no one can keep a straight face.

This is off-topic, but is definitely in the spirit of worst edit ideas: I’ve been doing edits of the 2003 film The Cat in the Hat for a friend’s project where he watches the film once a week and documents it slowly driving him to insanity. It’s probably the funniest project I’ve ever been involved with. Anyway, he’s opened up the floor and requested anybody submit any edits of any kind of The Cat in the Hat, no matter how unwatchable or ridiculous, and we’ll then watch them all as a demented sort of film festival. I dunno, that strikes me as exactly the sort of thing this thread lives on.
