The original BD of Tremors is the absolute worst transfer I have ever seen. It looks like an upscaled DVD that has been heavily DNR’d and sharpened. It also has the infamous magenta tint that plagues many early 2000’s masters. The remastered version is worlds better.

The 2007 BD of the original Halloween is probably the worst of my collection.

The orange title cards look almost yellow, there are some moments when the audio is fairly out-of-sync, (i.e. door closing sounds about 12 frames late) and while we’re talking about the audio, some scenes are WAY too loud and you can barely hear others.

All in all, the movie’s good, but the transfer sucks.

I’m not really that much of a movie purist. I really should’ve thought my name out a bit more.

The original BD of A Christmas Story has a very poor HD master and poor quality audio. It resembles the DVD too much.

The worst 4k recently for me is probably a tie between Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl and the Lord of the Rings 4K.

The DVNR is atrocious and it destroyed fine detail.

The BD of How the Grinch Stole Christmas is also atrocious. It is very grey and oversharpened. Luckily the 4K is a big improvement.

The original BD of Scream is terrible. It has severe edge enhancement, DNR and grey, washed out color. The 4K is a big improvement.

Another contender is the original BD of A Clockwork Orange, which has poor image quality that lacks fine detail and incorrect color timing as well as having the original mono mix replaced by a 5.1 version.

The BD of the 2011 and the 2019 special edition I have heard is bad.

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.

The original HD release of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was very disappointing to me. It had incorrect framing, incorrect color timing, suboptimal picture quality, remixed audio and replaced the original opening logos.
