Wonder Woman: The God of Lies (Planned Project)

Many people were not a fan of Wonder Woman 1984 due to its script, direction and tone. I surprisingly enough really liked the film and how Patty Jenkins had brought in more of the light hearted nature the first film did not have. While I do feel the film is inferior to its predecessor, I still found it to be a very nice and good comic book film, nonetheless.

However, I will say that it is not perfect and bears its flaws. This project is to improve the film a little more to shave away some aspects that may affect the tone and to tighten the flow of the story as best as can be done.

Replaced the Warner Bros and DC logos with the ones used for the first Wonder Woman.

Color corrected the entire film.

Added a editor’s credit to the opening credits.

Trimmed the ending conversation between Diana, Antiope and Hippolyta to feel less preachy.

Changed the opening title card to Wonder Woman: The God of Lies.

Removed a shot of the runner looking at the crosswalk sign.

Removed the woman questioning the thief who drops his gun.

Trimmed the sequence of everyone trying to talk the thief out of using the girl as a hostage.

Cut Diana’s, “I hate guns.”

Trimmed away some of the reactions from the girl and her and Diana winking.

Trimmed some of the mall reporter’s dialogue.

Trimmed away Barbara asking Jake for help, as well as asking Diana out to lunch and her introduction to her boss.

Removed Barbara recording herself discussing items 23 and 24.

Trimmed Diana and Barbara’s exposition over the items.

Trimmed Diana and Barbara’s dinner conversation.

Cut Diana telling Barbara to go home.

Trimmed away a shot of Max giving a sinister look.

Removed Barbara’s, “It’s him!”

Trimmed away the discussion between Diana and Max about her not having a TV.

Removed Diana comparing the stone’s invoice order to Max’s business card.

Lightly trimmed Max and Barbara’s dialogue in her office.

Steve does not inhabit another man’s body, trimming away all references to his apartment.

Removed the scene of Steve bringing Diana to the guy’s apartment.

Trimmed the scene between Diana and Steve in bed to imply he’s staying at her apartment.

Removed the scene of Barbara in the gym.

Trimmed away Max asking the FBI agents about the charges.

Removed the sequence of Steve trying on different clothes.

Removed the sequence of Diana giving Steve a tour of D.C.

Removed Barbara leaving to do something after Diana and Steve leave her office.

Slightly trimmed Diana struggling to pull off the lock.

Removed Diana reading the Latin inscription again.

Trimmed Diana’s exposition in Max’s office.

Removed Diana and Steve discussing the problem with commercial flight and passports.

Slightly trimmed Barbara beating up her harasser.

Emir Said Bin Abydos still has his oil holdings and instead laughs at Max for telling him he’ll take it.

Removed Steve’s, “You keep saying that.”

Removed Max’s laugh after telling Diana the truth, as well as his, “Whoh!”

Removed Diana’s, “That’s a no.”

Trimmed away Steve’s mention of the Monkey’s Paw.

Removed the scene with the old people and the cows.

Trimmed away the discussion of body possession between Diana and Steve in her apartment.

Removed all unnecessary moments of slow motion during the action sequences.

Removed Steve’s, “I just learned that.”

Cut Barbara’s line, “and I’m not giving it back!”

Trimmed away a shot of Diana running through the crowd.

Replaced some of Cheetah’s vocals with cat growls and screeches.

Trimmed away Diana’s, “The truth is beautiful.”

Cut Diana’s line, “if you want to save this world.”

Trimmed away Max’s line that he’s a “messed up loser.”

Replace the ending Warner Bros logo with the old one.
