My bad: I thought he was talking about 70mm negative; I’ve made a mistake with print/negative. The movies were indeed shot in 35mm.

At one point, they changed the pic of the Star Wars facebook page to an OT scene.
Lol. It’s been a while. Maybe I should check their Facebook page again 😛
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.
Hopefully it’s still there, otherwise the OUT was most likely cancelled 😄
Ceci n’est pas une signature.
Bill Hunt gave an update on the 3D PT + TFA rumors. Apparently that’s still what his industry and retail sources are telling him, with the added detail that it will be five discs total.
Fifth disc for legacy??? 😃 I jest

My guess is
The Phantom Menace 3D BD
Attack of The Clones 3D BD
Revenge of The Sith 3D BD
The Force Awakens BD + 3D BD
Bonus disc with more deleted scenes, maybe?

Welp, it turns out that the 4 disc 3D Blu-Ray set was just a 3D collectors edition of The Force Awakens.
But y’all have probably figured that out by now lol
The digital bits article still stands behind the PT set rumors, too.

Keep in mind, our sources are still telling us that there may also be a Blu-ray 3D box set of the Star Wars prequel films as well, and we’ll post more on that soon.

Huh, I just assumed that this was it. Hmm, interesting. Not interested in buying though, because those movies are still trash, 2D or 3D lol. I see Disney has their priorities straight, assuming the rumor is true

Not interested in buying either, because of the above, and because 3D is trash, TFA or Prequels.

What? All the PT films were remastered in 3D? And they only released 1 in theatres? Wow, that sucks. Woulda liked to see 3 in 3D!
Yeah, I’m really looking forward to that extra dimension of suck.
I caught the latter half of the RotS blu-ray projected onto a 110" screen at my relatives’ place several years ago and it looks very three-dimensional already.
Maybe they’re getting the 3D PT out of the way because they’re planning a '97-style 3D release of the OT in theaters next year?

You mean Fox right? Fox owns the PT right now. And yes, Fox made the mistake of releasing sequels before prequels before. Don’t expect them to keep making the same mistake.

Fox has the distribution rights. I don’t know if they would actually be involved in the production of the 3D conversions at all after the Disney sale. Doesn’t make sense to invest that kind of money on something you won’t be able to profit from in 3 years. Fox’s involvement these days is probably just getting their cut on sales.
Also, what do you mean sequels? Are you referring to the OT as that?
Yes, I guess I should have called them Originals, but that sounds weird. 3 originals and none of them are a sequel.
Uh, Empire and Jedi are sequels…

To clarify that for you:
4-5-6: Original trilogy (aka The Trilogy) [OT]
1-2-3: Prequel trilogy (aka The Prelogy) [PT]
7-8-9: Sequel trilogy (aka The Postlogy) [ST]
aka The Prelogy
Nope.

hah.
i never heard anyone use these terms before, so i tried using google and found:

prelogy in English
translation and definition “prelogy”, Dictionary English-English onlineDefinition and similar words in English:
We don’t have translation of given word, but maybe you have misspelled and you have meant:
phrenology
In France as a matter of fact. We only use these portmanteaus (prélogie, postlogie). You should do the same.

hm, i guess i take back my initial response of laughing at this, but i still find it odd sounding, i am used to hearing prequels’s and that works for me. but to each their own!
So are those English translations of French words? Regardless it’s kind of weird to include them when attempting to “clarify.”
Unless MathUser is French as well, of course.

Interesting to find out it’s a French thing, as the only time I’d heard “prelogy” before was from the French-speaking hosts of Star Wars en Direct up in Montreal.
