I'm a little more optimistic for the simple fact that we DID see the OUT on DVD. The poor transfer issues aside, it WAS on DVD when many said it will never, ever happen (including Lucas). Now will we ever see a proper version on DVD? Eh, that I doubt and I think it will be on the next format...even still, the point is we will see it again. Lucas has proven time and time again that money talks, and I feel that the OUT will be no exception...

That's all the publicity it needs. TFN still has plenty of readers. The more that read that article, the more will realize that it was a shoddy release. Perhaps somewhere down the line it'll get a proper release.

Well said.
And by the same token, we know LFL loves to make money, as evidenced by the ad nauseum re-releases of the trilogy in whatever form, so I would never say the situation is beyond hope.
