Who likes to go fishing?

When I was younger I went fishing a lot. Lately I didn't fish anymore. This year I want to start fishing again. I especially like fishing for predatory fish like pike.

Normally I only fish in fresh water. But during a few holidays in Norway I went fishing in the fjords at depths of 300 meters. That was really cool.

So, does anyone here have good fishing stories? Or pictures of your catch?

I enjoy fishing, but I haven't done it in quite a long time. My grandparents own a couple of ponds on their property, so I've usually just gone there to catch brim, bass, or an occasional catfish.

Catfish? Beautifull fish. I never cought one though. Was it a big one? What did you use for bait?

I love to fish, but haven't been able to much lately. I would love to try some deep water fishing, but really don't have the money right now for a new fishing rod.

I USED TO GO FISHING ALL OF THE TIME UP IN MISSOURI AND ARKANSAS, BUT THAT WAS MANY MOONS AGO. WHEN MY SON GETS OLDER I WILL TAKE HIM ON A FATHER SON FISHING TRIP. AS LONG AS MY FATHER IS STILL ALIVE I'LL HAVE HIM COME ALONG TOO.

I used to fish quite a bit. don't do it much anymore, but still do occasionally. Its fun, as long as you catch something within a reasonable amount of time. Usually in lakes and rivers, but I have been to the ocean as well.

As for catfish, when I fished for them, I used to use stinkbait. It usually works. Being bottom feeders, you have to weight the line to get the bait near the bottom.

Yes, you have to catch something within a certain amount of time otherwise it gets really boring (and the faith in your bait is gone).

I went fishing everyday before work this summer. Catfish and large mouth bass, used nightcrawliers and stinkbate. Sometime I would use a small trout for bait if I happened to catch one by chance. I don't have any pictures though, didn't catch anything significant. I love getting up early and watching the water. Even if I don't catch anything, its worth it for the quiet time and the sunrise. I guess I better go and get my fishing license renewed sometime soon.

As a kid, I hated to go fishing. I found it incredibly boring and if given the choice, I never went, but now as I'm older, I want to spend time with my dad and my second youngest child loves it, so now it is much more enjoyable, but I can't seem to catch the big fish like I did when I was kid--what the hell?

Nice pike, by the way.

When I fish, it is usually in south Texas, when I visit my parents, or with my in-laws north of Dallas. Is that where you go fishing?

I WENT THERE TO FISH SEVERAL TIMES WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER, BUT WE USUALLY WENT TO MISSOURI OR ARKANSAS. WHEN I WAS LITTLE MY GRANDFATHER WOULD TAKE ME TO LEWISVILLE LAKE TO GO FISHING ON HIS BOAT. THAT WAS THE EASIEST TRIP AS WE LIVED IN LEWISVILLE.
