I wish there was an option to ignore threads.

I am weak and I keep getting drawn into reading the moreish Politics thread which is so hilarious I forget to masturbate for world peace.

It would be kind of nice not to have to see all the nonsense threads, but honestly, if you lack the self control to not click on the threads you don't want to look at in the first place, you'd be the type that would constantly be clicking on the "This Thread is on your ignore list. Click here to reveal this thread" link.

I agree completely. My previous post was aimed at Bingo and his admitted lack of self control in staying away from the Politics thread. If he can't keep himself from clicking on it already, I doubt one extra mouse click could help him much.

Depends on the thread. And if I reveal your post once, the next time I check on that thread I'll know what is in the post. Also, if I don't reveal a post but see that people are responding to something you said, then I will know there is probably something more than a gif or a random quip behind your last post and I go back and reveal it. 

It is actually kind of easy to anticipate the sort of thing you are likely to post at any given point in a topic.
