It's pretty much impossible to prove you wrong, however I don't see proof "For a good time ..." is an urban legend either. Just saying because very few other website indicate positively "For a good time ..." is just an urban legend.

Right - Betty Boop's nipples were caught before any of the video releases.

The "For a good time" graffiti is in every version. It's the flash frame of Michael Eisner's phone number that isn't on any of them - because that never actually existed. (That's an urban legend going back to the days of Usenet.)

"For a good time, call Allison Wonderland" is real. It's in every version, you don't even need freeze frame to see it.

What's not real is the alleged flash frame of a phone number (supposedly Eisner's) appeating underneath that message. It has been mentioned on the Internet, supposedly it was removed after the laserdisc, but nobody here has found it on the LD or any other version.

The graffiti is real, it was never removed, it's the phone number that's the myth.

Of course we're talking about the #, perhaps you didn't see the "..."s.

I don't want to get into an argument and the only reason I replied is because I never read anywhere that it was on the 1st LD release. I would like sources, which you don't have to provide, but would be good. And if you need sources of my claim that it was taken out before the 1st LD release, I will provide as well. However, like I said,  I don't want to get into an argument and you can google and read for yourself. Neither of these sources really matter, it's just I thought the *popular* opinion was that if the # ever existed it was taken out before the 1st LD release.

I think the # being real is possible given everything else, but the lack of any accounts make me think it's unlikely it ever existed. But I would never call it an urban legend.

Anyone have the full retail BD50 with the Uncensored version inserted into it? I can't find it. I have the mkv Uncensored, but I'd like the full retail BD with the Uncensored version. I can reinsert it if I have to, I have the official BD release.

There is no full retail retail BD version of this.

I meant a custom where someone took the ripped retail BD and inserted the Uncensored version. Keeping all menus and such. If you meant there is no custom like that, then okay.

There were some instructions on how to do this yourself posted a few pages back.  I can re-post them if you'd like.  I still haven't picked up the Retail BD so I've held off on burning the uncensored version until I can recreate the Retail BD with this in it's place.

@Space Kaijuu,

You can use tsMuxeR to create a Blu-ray folder with the new video you want to add in.  (Do the movie and short separately.)  You'll want to make sure you have the same number and order of audio and subtitle tracks as well (even if you blank them later).

Under the Blu-ray tab, there is an area that says 'Options'.  Here you can set the first MPLS and first M2TS.  Set these numbers to correspond with numbers on the Blu-ray you are rebuilding.

Next you need to copy the .M2TS from new STREAMS folder, the .CLPI from new CLIPINF folder (will be the same number as the .M2TS), and the corresponding .MPLS from new PLAYLISTS into the old BD structure.

The .MPLS isn't usually the same number as the .M2TS and if you don't know it you can use BDEdit or various other tools to find it.  (If you want info on this let me know.)

You'll also want to replace the same CLPI & MPLS files in the BACKUP folder as well.

It's... not really simple.

Bumping this quote as it contains the needed instructions.

Hi, anyone have a laserdisc rip of The Rescuers? Or does anyone have the censored frames or the scene in full?

If there is another thread, please let me know.

Also, I read that the frames weren't in the original release, however apparently they've been in the print since I think the '80s, however some home media made from another print lineage don't have the frames.

Please PM me, thanks.

Word is, those 'censored' frames were inserted by a disgruntled employee and not added intentionally to the film.

I wouldn't call the laserdisc version uncensored, so much as altered.

I think ww12345 or poita or someone has a print with those frames in it? I remember a screenshot on the old AMPS...

I just snatched the mkv file.  It is absolutely superb.

Thanks, everybody for making the restoration possible.

I do want to ask.  Without freeze framing, does anyone really see these things while watching the film?

Watching the movie without Betty Boop flashing her boobs at me completely ruins the experience for me. The movie really doesn't work without this crucial moment.

On a more serious note where did you hear this, and how would he have managed it? Was he the animator for those shots? Well, *someone* added them intentionally.. :3

From what I've read online, the topless model was inserted probably during post-production. But prints from the original run might not have been affected:

from IMDB.com

I met a film collector who had access to an original release print from 1977 and we went through it frame by frame. The images did not appear in the window, so it seems that a different print was used for the video release in question tann the actual theatrical release.

Then there's this excerpt from an interview that came out when Disney made Tarzan

Thomas Schumacher, Disney's president of animation, explained the reason for the company's caution.

"We had that huge thing with The Rescuers," he says. "A cameraman inserted a tiny two-frame photograph of a topless woman. It was meant as a private joke between him and his friends. Then along comes video and laser discs, and someone out there found it, so we have to be very careful."

Cue someone wanting a 35mm print of The Rescuers so they can finally see those images in high definition.

Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…

Oh, I understood Doctor M's post to be about Roger Rabbit. Never mind then, yes I've heard the story about The Rescuers.

Yes, my question was about WFRR?, how did we get onto the Rescuers?

I appreciate the desire for having the original untouched, I was just wondering if small single frame detail is actually visible.
