Yeah, the thought of him with the ability to launch nukes is much better...and it's a reality.

Of course it wasn't an accident. Any more than Vince Foster REALLY committed suicide, and Ron Brown's death was an ACCIDENT.

Please, there's almost no way someone could NOT kill someone at close range with a shotgun unless he was not aiming at the person.

Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot a man during a quail hunt ... making 78-year-old Harry Whittington the first person shot by a sitting veep since Alexander Hamilton. Hamilton, of course, (was) shot in a duel with Aaron Burr over issues of honor, integrity and political maneuvering. Whittington? Mistaken for a bird.

I do think it's kind of pathetic that the media has jumped on this issue and made such a big deal with it. I mean, it was an accident. We all make them. Accidental shootings happen all the time. God knows the President and VP are not immune from them (an understatement).

How is it that even when you're defending the VP it comes across as an insult?

I do agree, though. I'm sure there are some people out there who see the news that the VP shot a man and their hearts fill with glee that they have more ammo with which to attack the president.

Which reminds me to add somethign to the things we hate thread.
