Which Yoda is your fav.
I like the Yoda in V and VI, then II and III. I hate how the one in I looks.

I really doubt there's going to be any variation in answers for this one.

Empire and Return all the way. All those other Yodas are poorly-made clones.

III and V

There wasn't much of him in VI, and I didn't really like Jedi.


The AOTC Yoda looks like dog trash, and the TPM Yoda is a shizno.

Prequel-Yoda is blasphemy. Only the original trilogy Yoda counts for anything.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

I estimate that that poll would have been about 80% Phantom Menace, 20% AOTC and ROTS, and 0% ESB and ROTJ.

I liked the Ep. III and V. Yoda as well. Seems that Yoda is the best in the two darkest Star Wars films.

After watching Ep1-3 and then watching ep5 yoda seems to have gone a little crazy. Most likely from that fact that he is a quiter, should have jumped back up and kicked palpatine's ass.

Of course I liked Frank Oz's physical Yoda from V and VI the best, but the Episode III Yoda was definitely the best CGI. He was done so well in III that they could use A LOT of close ups of his face. I was impressed.

Rowman, that is very true about EpIII yoda, by far the best. I went from what the fuck is that for epI, to Not bad it cgi Yoda with a lightsaber and he is here to stay.

The original is alwayst the best. Except in comic books, of course.

Empire Strikes Back has the best Yoda in design and characterization.

There is only one Yoda and that is the OT puppet Yoda. It's not a case of me being sentimental or hating the PT or being anti-CG anything like that, it is quite simply the fact that the OT puppet looks and acts the best.

I agree. ESB Yoda is the best, and ROTJ Yoda isn't the best because he didn't have enough screen time and had a somewhat lame death.

AOTC and ROTS have a green CGI character voiced by a movie director, not Yoda.

TPM had this green disform mass that Frank Oz put his hand inside and open and closed his fingers in order to make this hole in the center open and close, matching his dialogue.

Couldn't they just have a puppet Yoda all the time that looked EXACTLY like the ESB one, and have Frank Oz dressed in blue puppeteering it on set (he would be deleted later)? I mean, use technology with the puppet. During lightsaber fights, he and other 3 or 5 pupeteers would perform the fight scene with the puppet?

Or... a Stop-Motion puppet. And animate Cristopher Lee too, move him just a little bit on every frame for the fight between the 2...
