Where to find Stars Wars in it's Theatrical Quality?

Watching TMBTM's War of the Stars: A New Hope sparked this interest.

Where can I find the Star Wars Original Unaltered Trilogy films in their untouched theatrical "look" ?  To be clear, I don't mean like the GOUT DVDs or the despecialized releases which aim to present the theatrical cuts in a cleaned up high resolution, but the quality that was shown in theaters on May 1977. Is there a laserdisc or early video release that comes close to presenting it in this format?

I guess the Team Blu restoration comes fairly close to it. Either that or you could get a 35mm scan like what Negative-1 and Puggo Grande did.

Ol’ George has the GOUT, I see.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking for. The picture quality of a brand new Eastman Kodak 35mm release print in 1977 would exceed Blu-ray quality in some areas and come close in most others, even in a crummy cinema.

Are you looking for the appearance of a very beat up print shown as part of a mid-80s revival on an out-of-focus lens in a terrible underground theater?

Star Wars didn't look that way in 1977.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!
