If Batman went into politics, I hope his first act as President would be to make laws forcing Ridley Scott to make Prometheus make sense!

Batman would promote the upgrading of the technology of Gotham's infrastructure and police force equipment (contracted out to Wayne Enterprises), then turn it over to the wrong people only then to have to destroy most of Gotham's new infrastructure to save the people. In doing so, The batman would re-gain popularity around re-election time to secure another term . Then in this next term, he can do it all over again, and secure more lucrative re-construction contracts for Wayne Enterprises. Sounds like a true political machine to me.
